They ramble against welfare. They view it as handout. And his last line - I've been on food stamps, I've been on welfare...did anybody help me out? No? Let it sink in a minute.
Did he make a career out of it or use it as the program was originally intended?
That is the difference.
But republicans want to get rid of it. They never liked what it was intended for..
Trump is a politician.
Trump is a habitual liar, too. If you were out of high school you would know all businessmen are politicians. As Trump would say: “WRONG”
Trump is the first president to be elected who was not a politician.
That’s something only repeated by people on the left. I’ve never heard of any republican want a wholesale ban on welfare services. They serve an essential need.
However when they are weaponized and used as vote buying scheme, then that’s a problem. Along with the rampant fraud and abuse.
Don't think it has anything to do with abuse? But republicans want to get rid of it. They never liked what it was intended for..
I think fewer people abuse it than not. Republicans are feeding the lines that democrats want to "keep them poor" by giving them welfare. But as good old Craig T said....he's been on food stamps...he's been on welfare. But apparently "nobody helped him out". Because what I've noticed about Republicans is that if a problem is not 100% solved...if a program has even the smallest percentage of abuse....then the program should be abolished. Unless of course the abuse helps the richDon't think it has anything to do with abuse?
