If you're a died in the wool unionist, you're probably more of a socialist than you realize. Go read labor history from the late 1800's and early 1900's, and it's pretty obvious that there were extremely close links between the socialists/communists within the labor unions. That's one of the reasons it is so ironic that labor triggered the collapse of socialism in Poland, which was the beginning of the end of European communism...
Nowhere near as funny as it is for us to watch the unionists twist off and go at each other's throats. That's better than watching mobsters kill each other on the Soprano's.

I AM STAYING PUT TO MAKE THEIR LIVES AS MISERABLE AS POSSIBLE WITH JUST MY BEING MISERABLE!

Yeah i've been reading up on labor history. I've read "In Transit, The history of the the twu" and I know Red Mike Quill, the founder of the twu was a undercover commiunist. I don't pidgeon hole myself in any one catagory.Former ModerAAtor said:Uh, where do you think the concept of workers of the world uniting and fighting for equality came from? You are staying put because you know it is the best place for you regardless of what your opinion of the TWU is. You just want something else to cry about!!!!!! We have proved you wrong and you just can't take it!!!!!![]()

AMFAMAN said:It's funny that communism is being discussed because it's really the root of the problem within the twu. Read up on the Dies committee or if Decision 04 still has a link to it, maybe he can post it, some twu officers were thrown out of the country because of their commie activity. An old favorite book of mine is Trojan horse of America by Martin Dies, really gives some good insight into the commie theory. The twu constitution which dictates all that goes on within the twu was written by known communists and not much has changed because of the communist structure.
Now I have to disagree with writing socialists/communists like you did. Although we haved been taught to think of the two as one in this country, they are quite different. There are many good points of socialism, I can't say the same about communism. Yes unionism is much a part of socialism but the communist is a seperate issue.
