What "Ready Reserves"? The contract may allow some Temp help, but we don't have that kind of program like DL. Over 1/3 of their workforce is RR.
The company may wish that, but that isn't going to happen, hence temps may fill in if needed.
The problem is the downgrading of members from FT to PT in hubs. But I think that will slow down or stop, because the staffing models WHQ (UROC) the geniuses created is causing all kinds of havoc with the manpower. Too many gaps in the staffing. That's the lie of LOA #5, and people bought it.
There is insourcing, but tied to the outsourcing. (These were split ops stations which had to be insourced.)
Make no mistake: the smaller stations (Tier 3) was going anyway. We don't have a DGS or Eagle/Envoy. It was only a matter of time. So many took the money because some were out the door anyway.
Someone explain to me how they were going to be saved? The visits from the 28 to WHQ was just a formality. You can't beat a vendors low ball price. Some of the GM's will be losing their jobs as well. The talks should have been about the insourcing; transfers; and the EO packages for members. We should know by this month what will happen.
