Wasn't he one of the d-bags that came on here pimping the craft killing UAL T/A?
Yes. He's one of the Delaney Crew that put out and sold TA 1 & TA 2.
The question is now that what would be the starting point for the negotiations next year.
IMHO, depending on what the results from the AA talks and potential contract, his goal should be on two most important things (well 3):
1. Protect and defend the 22 stations and the 7 hubs (including the Express work at ORD; EWR; & IAH.)
2. Restore the pay of the members in stations that took the cuts.
On these two points, there should be no compromise on. PERIOD.
The third one should be to make sure that the new UGA does not encroach on our scope. If the union wants to organize those guys and gals, fine. But don't try to sell us out or infringe on our scope in order to get new members. They can take any openings (due to attrition or open spots) or a progression to mainline if they choose to do so.
Afterwards, then compensation; costs of medical; and other concerns should then be talked about. We have nothing else left to give. The metrics are so bad, and the new boss is traveling the system to get the real unfiltered feedback from the front line. The cuts have killed us, along with the work processes that has been causing an inordinate amount of OJI's.
This is what Klemm and the negotiatiors should be planning on and putting a plan of action. We need forward thinking at the table, and I hope these guys have some.......
