tell me why would my station need stack of bibles?    you probably don't have too many yrs with the company  do you?   I don't look at the wages the way I look at the SCOPE  bec to me  in my own opin  nothing is as of more important than scope bec scope is the job protection   and wages are the second thing I look at  but to me  you sure sound like bob  just wanting money and nothing more  I sure hope that is not the case

He has far north of 30 years Robbed. And he's been confirmed as legit. (Not Ford Harrison, like I thought at one point) Al has collected more dust and bird poop on him than the original AA hanger still standing.

Bob on the other hand only has 5 years with us. No dust but still full of bird poop.

OK weaaz I'll hold you to two weeks. If we are not negotiating for the higher UA rates in 3 weeks, you have to jump to my side. When you jump to my side the first thing I want you to do is tell 700 hes a dummy

Albert, it seems to me that the delay in our negotiations has been the way to go, given the fact that whether the Association did so intentionally or is struggling with mutual priorities, the industry has jumped higher than the stock market with raises left and right.  I'm siding with WeAAsles on this one as it makes good sense to see if the United Mechanics can get even more. It appeared as if the United MX was ready to sign a TA but now more is on the table.

As we approach negotiations, much more will be on the table than what would have been on the table just two weeks ago.  Hold'em High!

But after we establish the priorities that both unions agree to, and we do negotiate, then let's not waste any time, if possible.  I'm like anyone else, I want it all.  Scope, $$$,  you know the rest.

regards,

regards,

You want to catch something ironic Tim. Our 01 contract was supposed to put us at $24.00 and change in 05. If that fiasco in 03 had never happened and we got the average cost of inflation of 2% per year guess what I'd be making right now? Yep you guessed it. $29.00 and change. Right smack back at what our agents are looking at now.

So is it really unreasonable (readers) to say that maybe another 2 or 3% shouldn't be asked for or expected? Oh wait a minute, what does that come out to? Oh yea the new Delta rate plus 7%.....

Not to mention the expectation of a few other old reminders of the past not forgotten restored.

As you should.

Any rep advocating any kind of "give-to-get" should first be ridiculed and then kicked out of the room...

I gave at the office 12 years ago. I think I'm done with the idea of giving personally.

This is not like buying the latest smartphone. You just keep waiting because a better one is just around the corner. If the association had any clout they would negotiate me too pay increases for the duration of the agreement. In the meantime we lose unrecoverable money as each day moves on by.

NO it's YOUR needs you greedy e little guy.
You just got a $5.00 an hour increase in less than 2 years. You're making an extra $800.00 per month that you didn't have when this journey started.
What do you blow your wad at Wiley's or something? Cozy Cabin? (Strip joints near LGA)
he got 5.00 in two years we have lost more than that in the last 2 contracts the pay cut contract and the bk contract . And at us air they had 2 bk and have took a lot of pay cuts . So the 5.00 just doesn't bring back what we lost . And how come you diehard twu/iam supporters are so rude. Why do you ask where he spends his money. His point his right the ass needs to get us money and benefits more than what we lost. And they need to start now and get in the contract that we will get top pay when another airline gets a raise. For the life of contract

Again, why don't you take your own advice and keep your complaining over in the AMT thread. You have absolutely nothing to offer on this thread.

People I know are always telling me that I have a problem letting other people vent. But the thing is that many people aren't just venting. They're being who they are. Miserable unhappy souls just drifting through their lives hoping something better comes along for them. It never will because even when they finally get the money they'll still stay in the rut they created for themselves. And I don't feel sorry for them either. There are a lot worse off people to feel sorry for in life than any of the people who have the time to post on here.

I wanted to add this little piece. Some people are floating around out there saying that they don't think we'll have a deal done until at least next summer, early fall? I personally don't "think" it's going to take that long.

In my career it's always been that whatever we bargain for is passed on to the agents. The agents on the AA side being non union was just how it worked out. There were even times they gave the agents a little extra something while waiting for us to come to a deal.

I think a good majority of what the CWA was able to secure in their TA is now at least a template for what the Company is willing to and will agree for our group? I'm certainly not saying it will be a precise mirror because we have our own items that we would like to secure and I really believe that our negotiators are working hard to try and put all of that together before they sit with the company?

Anyway Parker himself has said that our group shouldn't (or isn't expected) to take as long as the agents did (About 6 months) I again don't "think" we're going to take as long (a personal opinion)

What I really do hope to see when that TA IS sitting on my desk though is the language of compromises. I don't want to see an IAM US contract and I don't want to see a TWU AA contract. The language written in that contract (With some new surprises) will tell me how the two groups were really getting along with each other in there? Spoken words won't convey the same message that the written ones will send out.

If the language is dominated by one side or the others than honestly the whole notion behind the Association (For Unions not to fight each other) will have to be called a failure. Just stuck with each other because of a legal piece of paper. Bad feelings from one side towards the other will never be overcome if one side felt abused and compromise wasn't shown. (Compromise) Balance. Understanding the position and feelings of the guy sitting across the table from you. Showing each other respect while stepping back from the things YOU want for the greater good of the peace.

I really hope in the end that's how I wind up reading that TA? But that's up to those 12 men sitting in that room together with each other? Are you going to build those bridges so we can concentrate together on the real issues we have in front of us? Or?

"Choice"

Good luck next week Gentleman.

Should be interesting to see what finally comes out of this. I was never a fan of this association, but it appears the lengthy wait may have been a good thing. Comparable compensation should not be too difficult to work out. The two unions dealing with each other is unusual. No membership vote on this association was strange. We could end up with a better deal, and if we do it will be a result that I did not see coming out of a pretty bizarre situation.

i can understand your point. the problem i have is the comapny saying they are ready the negotiating committee saying they are ready (on the maintenance side) yet nothing is getting done, or secret.

i responding to a question on here I did not mention one thing about amt. I mentioned things that are bothering both groups the lack of info and negotiations updates from the asso . The only people who still be leave in the asso are kool aid drinkers . You don't know me are my charter but me and most others that have been living in pay cut land are tired of it . I am a happy person went thru major surgery lucky to be a live. But like most people I'm ready for increased pay and benefits . I have seen you on amt threads unlike you I kept it on topic you don't want me on your board then you and others need to stop posting on the amt boards
