Listen up POS, I with a growing number will vote for MONEY, and if we get a contract like the agents, it will act as the laxative that this place needs to rid this place of the old and broken down slugs that will probability leave feet first. This will be the only way to end job stagnation. So all you long-timers had better gird your loins because no package for those who are so desperately waiting for but just the big flush. The CS policy is the magic pill that is on the way to facilitate the next extinction level event, does this place me at risk? Maybe but unlikely, I would still vote yes for MONEY.

Bob, you seem to be one of those that knows the price of everything but the value of nothing...

For 65k+ us broken down slugs will plant our feet firmly and the junior people will take the brunt. You may be downgraded to P/T and have to pay twice as much for your insurance, ive seen it happen before. I think our energy should be focused on the ASS and getting them to table because what they are doing now is ridiculous
cant coach stupid albert its a natural ability.

Bob is clueless because he never went through it. Bob in 2001 when the planes hit the towers I had 6 years with AA. I was in DFW at that time with 650 FT people below me. I got laid off back to LGA. They laid off 700 people in one shot. I got recalled a month and a half later. Next round was in 03. I was scheduled to be laid off again but they recinded and I was 7 from the bottom before they finally hit me. I went to MIA. I didn't receive a recall notice that time for 8 months.

Think it really can't happen to you. LMFAO.

Best part is no timers like him are gone from maintenance because we have too many that voted "for the money"

Dave what in your honest opinion is  going on with the ASS. Are they taking a step back? Do they even have any meetings scheduled. Is it hopeless? How far will your patience take you

Jim wheel was in a meeting at dwh and it sliped out that when we start negotiating next year after the holidays.
That's the latest rumor that I heard. He was over there soothing the feelings over the taesl shut down.
Personally I don't think we will see anything until section six openers. They have no intention of negotiating any time soon. Just my opinion.

If I didnt know how much money we are losing I could deal with it but I do know, and it bites. Its like pulling a biscuit away from a dog, keep doing it and you will get nipped. Nobody at the ASS has to answer for this bullcrap

I think they're working on a proposal basically from scratch and they're not going to be rushed by anyone so we can all look back later and say they missed something.

I'm waiting just like you for when the next meeting information comes out.

Hopeless? Lol. I've waited 12 years already and it's not killing me waiting just a bit longer. I've said I ABSOLUTELY want this done right.

My patience will be as long as it has to be. But that doesn't mean that I don't want this done just as much as you do. Even if I was there in the room myself with these guys I'm sure we'd be right in the same place we are now.

Thanks for your honest opinion. Id say you are in the minority. Do you think they should be scheduling these meetings more often and closer together?

Yes. But you also have to remember that those "people" have other responsibilities in life to take care of as well. Some of that is their duties as President, AGCS, or others. And they also have families I'm sure who they love and need to go home and see.

I think it probably gets pretty intense in that room after a few days and do we really want them to get burnout and be at each others throats?

But again no. I'm not crazy about meetings being scheduled weeks apart rather than maybe a week here or there.

Disagree W,

As stated by many and the other excuse for the lethargic approach to negotiations, this could be one of the most important contract negotiations in many of our careers. So right now, the members are the "Associations" number one priority. I would love to see my family on holidays, weekends, evenings, but I knew that loss was a possibility when I voluntarily hired on, Likewise, these reps are paid (well I might add) and knew family time could/would be scarce in some situations. Can't think of a more important "situation" in many of our lives. As for other responsibilities, you have plenty of Chairmen, E-Board and Stewards to absorb many of the issues. Finally, the "at each others throat" is extremely lame. If that was something I had to worry about with my reps, the lack of control and professionalism, replace them all. I don't need children negotiating my contract. Nothing less than meetings around the clock are unacceptable. Their actions, or the lack thereof is affecting thousands and thousands of lives. Right now, negatively!

They have 2 contracts to use as an outline Go over each article with a fine tooth comb if you want to it still shouldn't take this long. Now you even have the CSA contract to compare. Dont forget that one of the most important issues($$$$) is all but settled. There is a good chance the negotiations between the unions will last longer then the negotiations with the company
