2015 Fleet Service thread

Thx WeAA. I knew the devil is always in details but it sounds like CWA got some explaining to do. People must realize that scope ought to be the nbr one item as it defines job security

That's why I also always want to wait till I can read all the details for myself. That FB page is humming with all sorts of gossip, rumor, hearsay, innuendo and emotion that I think some of their heads are going to explode. Some of them seem like they're scaring themselves to death when they don't really know anything yet.

Hopefully we'll be a lot smarter than that when the time comes?

Can you tell if majority of the complaints are from the US side, they stand to lose BSO. It seems to me tha LAA gutted their customer service a while ago and there is not much left to take. Also all will eventually have to switch to an inferior AA medical plan. So the LAA side is really just  looking at $30 per hour, therefore it passes

I'm told things are moving well on the fleet side and sitting down with the company maybe sooner rather than later.

I really dont think fleet will take that long.MTC will be more difficult. The LUS side(IAM) still votes by ballot. What method does TWU use?

Will the Association leadership tie us to each others asses waiting for everyone to come to an agreement with the company would be my biggest question? And before you ask, no. I'd prefer whoever comes first go ahead. (This is not Section 6)

I don't know what the consensus would be for this kind of bargaining?

(Yes the maintenance group scares me quite frankly)

And that's not to say that maintenance may not be the one to pull a rabbit trick before us?

The fact that we are not in section 6 tells me that they cant hit any group that hard. On the other hand I cant see the company keeping some of these jobs for at least 5 more years. But what do I know Ive been batting 000 so far in these negotiations. Ive been basing my thoughts on what Parker has done in the past and he keeps throwing me a curve

Yes Maintenance does have alot more complex issues and that of course could drag negotiations. Dont be surprised as a show of unity the ASS  waits until we both have an agreement to announce

Sorry. Heard too many (recent) stories that formulated that opinion. Trust me I absolutely would prefer to be dead wrong?

It did at least appear from what Peterson said that you may have been ready even before my group is? Who knows?

Will the horse trading continue? I would expect Catering jobs may again be on the table. Of course catering jobs are in the LUS hubs. How do you get a TA ratified without CLT and PHL? It will be a numbers game for both sides. Let's see... Catering in the hubs or jobs in outline stations? 2005 all over again. The difference is; this time the company is realizing, and projected to make. record profits. Proposals to eliminate membership jobs should be off the table in JCBA negotiations. Enough!
