It all depends on what's negotiated in the JCBA? Don't just think of the fact that on your side those jobs are being done by you. On our side currently they're not a part of our CBA.
I think in the end they will just be integrated with our OPS people. But we shall see . FYI the LUS CSA people are voting no they are not happy about their medical  not being known in 2017

Don't know how they'll vote since the full language hasn't come out to explain any of the concerns they have yet? There's probably a LOA about the medical issue. The biggest problem I see is the influx of CARS. They're going to take over some jobs that are currently done by the higher paid agents from how I read things? I would want to read some solid language that restricts them from encroaching on my core work if I had to go to the counter or gates.

I'd also like to read restrictions (caps) on the self serve kiosks as well. From what I understand they also (currently) have no caps on PT and their PT pay double the rate for medical? Huge red flag and NO vote for me if that came downstairs.

Double the rate for a part-timer at LUS is still less than a LAA part-timer pays at this moment.

Welcome to the board Filter. I've wondered if ops would continues to stay in w JCBA or if they may try to contract it out

I think that would be the last job function they would contract out

Curious to see if all full  timers feel that way, especially if they would have to pay more so part time could pay less. Im guessing what is said in the breakroom might not be realized in the vote. I would also imagine it would be difficult to tell a LAA part time they have to pay double. Thats what negotiations are for if they ever get there

A no cap on the number of PT would definitely be a no vote, but a double pay medical for PT would not necessarily trigger a no vote.

I doubt the negotiation team would even consider bringing back a contract with no caps (better not)

Agreed Albert

I would never trust the company without that cap. Especially if they were to get a cost savings on our medical from a double rate on all PTers.

I do have to sat that based on what I've seen, the medical plans at legacy AA suck in comparison to what US has. Higher cost, and less coverage along with more out of pocket expense. Given the size of the combined group, I sure hope that they take another look at what's offered.

Im thinking what ever plan inflight  got is what we will probably get. I dont think one work group will get a better plan then the other. Dont forget 2017 is when that Cadillac thing happens unless that part is repealed

Same crap worded differently. They are not negotiating and have set no dates  but at least they are looking forward to when they do
It is wrong, at this point, that they are not prepared. Disappointing that neither side apparently can put egos aside as members are now losing out.
