What's new

2015 Fleet Service thread

I would like to see payscale true up EVERY year that is close to Delta rates in the contract. Not some hum drum 5 year "is what it is deal." Even though we will never have their rates as they raise them on a whim to keep unions out, we can always be in the hunt.

So not counting what we might see in SCOPE of course. About $30.00 per hour with shift differential and the added holiday increases bringing a TOS FT clerk up to about $65,000 per year ($70,000 per year for a CC) sucks to you?

What freakin world are some of you people living on?

This was just talking about the pay rate and nothing more.

It will not be as sweet as you portray. Doug and gang are accountants and know how to get the better end of the deal. 1 year from now the joke will be on us for taking the bait when record setting after record setting quarter comes in. This is where the neg team doesnt understand the financial dynamics of what industry consolidation brings to the table. I feel our dues money should also be invested with a business team composed with financial advisors/analysts to work alongside the neg team to equal the playing field at the table.

Whats going to happen if you get $30 an hour and Delta raises its wages again the following year? Too bad so sad for the AA people..sorry you got your locked 5 year deal and uncle Doug laughs at all the $ company is making.

What the hell do I care or should you care what they make over at Delta? What if the guy down the street builds an extension on to his house, you HAVE to build one also? You sound like a child. My bike is better than your bike.

Grow up. You're not a child anymore.

I don't care if someone has or makes more than me as long as what I have and make is something I'm happy with or like for myself.

Greed, avarice and envy I thought was supposed to be what you pointed your finger at the company for? Go look in a mirror.

Fine..be the but of the airline ramp job if its ok to you. If you enjoy working for the largest most profitable airline in the world and getting paid #3 and lower you will take whatever the ASS and Doug tell you to swallow.

I'll take a very good clear and total look at the TA that our negotiators send out to us and make my own determination if I think it should get my stamp of approval. I've been in this game long enough to know far better than the average member what I think will be a good deal from a bad deal. I certainly won't need yours or anyone else's help to make my decision when the time comes.

As far as being at the top of the totem poll or not I really could give a rats ass about that when it comes to MONEY.

I'll be the butt, if it means making close to 65k a year.

Why would a crappy deal be given when we need to and ought to be adult enough to tell the union leaders what we demand and force the company to negotiate and get the best deal possible?
You are going to have to force the ASS to negotiate first

how you going to feel about that 65k if your insurance triples and/or you can't even get a policy that pays worth a damn?

I use the core plan and pay about $780 a year, and I'm in good health and have never called in sick. I think I'll do ok.

how do you guys put up with scabs like this?
Listen up POS, I with a growing number will vote for MONEY, and if we get a contract like the agents, it will act as the laxative that this place needs to rid this place of the old and broken down slugs that will probability leave feet first. This will be the only way to end job stagnation. So all you long-timers had better gird your loins because no package for those who are so desperately waiting for but just the big flush. The CS policy is the magic pill that is on the way to facilitate the next extinction level event, does this place me at risk? Maybe but unlikely, I would still vote yes for MONEY.

You're a pretty clueless fellow aren't you. What good is money if you don't have a job to attain it? Let's say the company offers us $40.00 per hour but wants ALL the small cities and one hub (CLT for example) You only have a lousy 5 years with the airline. All these people come bumping in to bump you out. How many years might it take you to get recalled? What if they change the recall agreement to only 5 years and you don't get that call in time? Do you apply for AA or another airline and start at the bottom?

We all want money but we also want to keep the job to be able to make that money my num nuts friend.

For 65k+ us broken down slugs will plant our feet firmly and the junior people will take the brunt. You may be downgraded to P/T and have to pay twice as much for your insurance, ive seen it happen before. I think our energy should be focused on the ASS and getting them to table because what they are doing now is ridiculous
