Would I get terminated if I walked into the Jetblue or Delta breakroom and tell them they would be crazy to join the IAM?700UW said:Go ahead, and you will be terminated, Dues are a condition of employment.

according to a few CLP IAM members, the IAM engaged into a letter of agreement to enhance moving cost, etc, in the Pittsburgh breakup that moved CLP to DFW. The LAA CLP are non union peeps but the NMB ruled that CLP falls under the Association grasp. The secret agreement [IAM calls these LOA's "Letters of Agreement"] apparently gave management the ok to include the non union peeps into the roster by recognizing all American Eagle time as well. Note, this is a ramp function where someone from CLP can bid to the ramp or any station as well. The problem, if the IAM agreed to this, is that it disenfranchises hundreds or thousands of IAM members who were never allowed to recognize their true DOH. The question seems to be if the IAM agreed to the recognition of Eagle DOH or if this is being done without an agreement, in which case the IAM ought to grieve it.Central load planning
If you are saying they gave them their eagle time. What about all the people that flowed from Eagle to AA. If this is true they are opening up a can of wormsTim Nelson said:according to a few CLP IAM members, the IAM engaged into a letter of agreement to enhance moving cost, etc, in the Pittsburgh breakup that moved CLP to DFW. If an Eagle agent gets hired on at mainline ticket counter they carry their Eagle time?AANOTOK said:Since DFW is TWU, wouldn't they have a say in it?
I agree. If you are saying they gave them their eagle time. What about all the people that flowed from Eagle to AA. If this is true they are opening up a can of worms
I'm not sure if the Association was involved with this or the IAM. Not sure. Assuming the CLP agents are correct about this.Since DFW is TWU, wouldn't they have a say in it?
Whats the agreement? Is what Tim is hearing correct?700UW said:There is no secret agreement, it was announced a long time ago about the enhanced move package and details were posted
Tim Nelson said:Can Charlie Brown answer the rumor that the IAM allowed the former non union clp workers in the mix with American eagle seniority doh? I have no idea but a few CLP agents are saying that the IAM cut a deal with the company to give CLP an increased moving package, and in return recognize American eagle DOH seniority into CLP for the previous non represented workers. If true, this should very much concern all of us because any CLP worker could transfer to the ramp and keep the same DOH American eagle seniority.
This is either a nasty rumor from CLP agents or a complete and utter hatchet job by the IAM recognizing eagle seniority for DOH purposes with that group.
