If they soil their own water they don't have to look outside the fish bowl, and its easier to be persuaded of their own premature victory laps.

Author of quote and date?

You girls ready to lose another arbitration???    😱

"It's not fair" is not an argument worth much.  Tried before and failed.  When is the east capable of a new thought (or argument).  But when you got nuttin' else to use, I guess you're screwed either way!  LOL

I think round 2 is better than the first one.

APA INFORMATION HOTLINE

This is APA Communications Director Gregg Overman with the APA Information Hotline for Monday, Oct. 12.

SENIORITY INTEGRATION ARBITRATION HEARINGS RESUME: The Seniority List Integration (SLI) arbitration hearings reconvened today at the Hotel Palomar, 2121 P St NW, Washington, DC 20037. This week's hearings will continue through Friday, Oct. 16. The day started with the East Pilots Seniority Integration Committee's expert witness Dr. Brian Campbell finishing his testimony. The East committee then rested its case-in-chief. The West Merger Committee presented three witnesses: expert witness Dr. Daniel Akins (direct examination only), committee member Johan de Vicq, and committee chair Russ Payne. Dr. Akins and committee chair Russ Payne are expected to complete their testimony tomorrow.

Three seniority integration committees are participating in the SLI hearings, each representing its respective existing seniority list and the pilots on each of those lists (US Airways East list, US Airways West list and American Airlines list). Pursuant to the agreed-upon procedural ground rules, the East Pilots Seniority Integration Committee was first to present its-case in chief, or direct case. The West Merger Committee is presenting second and will be followed by the AA Pilots Seniority Integration Committee. The Company will then make its presentation if it so chooses. Direct cases for all parties should finish this week. After direct cases are presented, each committee will have an opportunity for rebuttal. Rebuttal cases will be presented in the same order during the hearings scheduled for January 2016.

Sigh...prechilill December 2007: "Ho ho ho! St Nic is coming to town!", and nowadays "I think round 2 is better than the first one." No possible doubt, especially given the APA's generous hopes for the US/AWA people.  Just for some even more serious chuckles though; might you have yet another "T-minus" countdown clock to add to that?...Or at least another ominous update on your ever-changing schedule for taking the reins of an A330?

Facts

The official MB SLI integration representatives of the west pilots
are the only pilot group of the three that;

Denies they are bound by the arbitration process.

Do not think that fences of bases or aircraft are necessary.

Are totally against any future integration delays.

Are complaining they are stuck with what they brought to the merger, the west pilots themselves think their territory is a fish bowl.

Big smiles tonight in DC.  Transcripts will be a better read than the noise from a Claxon.

Quote one example.  Enlighten the masses.

A quote from your own west committee may be self serving in your thoughts.

If there is no Nic then why does it keep coming up in the arbitration hearings?
Example from yesterday:

Arbitrator Nicolau
wrote that the MDA pilots for the purpose of
seniority integration were not considered to be
mainline.
And he put them -- he integrated them
towards the bottom of the list. And so we went with
Arbitrator Nicolau's interpretation of that.

MDA is being presented only to prevent any future DFR lawsuits. CYA for APA.

Mr Kennedy of the AAPSIC only reinforces the validity of the Nic used in the proposals (including AA's) with his questions directed at the West witness.

Q. Okay. And as a consequence in your

proposal, in this case, all of those pilots -- all

of those pilots will be below the junior West pilot

on your proposal in the present proceeding?

A. Yes.

Q. Okay. And I gather from your colloquy

with Mr. Wilder that your explanation for that is in

so many words, I didn't do that; Mr. Nicolau did

that.

A. Yes.
