Seems like quite the agenda they are all attending. Also on the list, although I shouldn't bring it up again like the last thread, the AFA-CWA vote. I was told numerous times in pms etc., that it for our best interests ! Sounds like a sandcastle answer. I am just interested in what the heck is going on. We all should be interested in what goes on, we are the membership.

I would love to see John run for any one of the top two positions. The MEC office faithfuls have been in there positions ssssooooo long there seats are sagging at there desks. How about a breathe of fresh air. Like I know bring in the new and gut the old. Another factor to all of this is that the MEC office must leave Pitt ang go either to Phl or Clt.....I am not bitter Safety Stud? Offensive or not, It takes more than words to get people involved. Actions speak volumes. I am sure who ever get's put into the positions they applied for will do their best. I can only hope the masses will start to take heed of the brevity. As I have always stated A union is only as strong as it's members. In the business of running a union, you do your best to protect, defend, and honor the provisions of the CBA and your relationship with the company. You negotiate the best possible contract for your membership and promote a unification process that allows the company and union to co-exist.

As you are very aware BAJA, you can't please 100% of the people 100% of the time. Everyone will always have a different view on things. You try to cover as many employee's with the best protection within the language of the contract. That said, the opinions on this board are from the actual people who seem to care, these are the one's who usually know the contract and make the company abide by it. If I'm not mistaken, there isn't any language within the bi-laws that state "Names" of potential candidates MUST be made public prior to the BOD elections. Whether this is the right thing to do is not the point. As again BAJA you are aware, we elect LEC presidents from each base to make the decisions for us. It is in their hands not ours. Should be interesting reading later on today...
