Alabama Maintenance Contrator

50% of the work was substandard, not a good track record.

US own overhaul has never had a problem rate like that.

Some people look at it as the glass is half empty, but others prefer to see the glass half full.

Or maybe outsourcing maintenance is just half-baked!

The planes have a few minor issues, but exactly what you would expect on a new fleet type.

Sparky, flaps out landings on 121 carriers are not "minor issues." Even for the good pilots at US who have universally been around long enough in both seats to have probably seen it. Now, the fact that it happened to the first bird out of Alabama shows just how beholden (and bent over) CCY is to the wants of Bronner. If I were a business selling multi-thousand dollar outsourcing jobs, I'd make damn well sure the first one came off without a hitch--unless of course I knew that my sugar daddy (Bronner) would fix things if it did not.

You guys ought to be glad that the general public is not clued into this type of stuff, or you would be toast by now.

You would think that US would get this after the -1900 in CLT (noting that yeah, it was Mesa's bird, but it happened because of shoddy third-party maintenance).

If you guys are going to continue this crap, at least send a much larger team for oversight and/or don't send the work to Alabubba, where it will remain until a US bird drops out of the sky--since it's not as if Bronner will let the work go anywhere else (quality and safety will be ignored).....

Downplaying and spinning safety issues is not good karma. Hopefully, the FAA will finally force the imported labor in Alabubba to actually overhaul the things regardless of the P&L to S&T.

Do you think that other investors might think that RSA's control over U's assets is lowering its market value, considering the obviously poor management decisions being made to accomodate Bronner? But at this point, couldn't the creditors get the judge to step in?

Who is this "Pencil-whip Jim"?

Let's get his real name out here in the open and report him directly to the FAA hotline. If he's really doing this, I want him strung up by his nuts! He's breaking the law and my family flies on these airplanes!!

Word out of PHL tonight; FAA pulled our ETOPS, to many engine shut downs !!!!

I was told the problem with the 330 was a nose gear problem due to improper servicing. The gear would not retract, granted that is better than one that will not extend!!! Now Hawk, what would you consider major issues?

"I know the US Airways Supervisor they use at MAE.. He's pencil whip Jim.. He
signs off everything regardless of anything.. Thats a fact.. "

"He signs off work from the planning office.. He's a hack.. Thats why they sent him."

That's what most company REPS do at the 3RD party, if you got to fix it you got to pay for it!!!!! So if your REP makes a bad call don't blame the 3RD party tech for his bad decision making!

i believe your etops problem is on cf-6 powered aircraft..... and is already being addressed by FAA.

Whats it going to take? An A/C actually going down? My God! What some people won't do to sava a dollar! Nobody has gotten killed yet! These people are practicing maintenance and need to be shut down!

On the stand SR VP of MTC was asked by IAM Attorney Sharon Levine "Did Dr Bronner have anything to do with the Airbus Mtc being done in Alabama?"

Presti replied "He did say that we in Alabama have some fine facilities."
