How about the USAir three shades of red from the 80's?It may be too late for the AL heritage plane (I don't think they'd re-do it again) but which better represents the spirit of AL to you?

Well that works with Boeing but what about Airbus? If you've ever seen an unpainted Airbus you'll know what I mean. I guess you could paint it silver.Still my favorite....clean, simple, and classy!![]()

Bare metal looks great if it is kept buffed. And looks awful when it is not. Before the blue top Airways scheme was introduced, the 767s in particular looked really bad.
