Many would desire to feign their ignorance of ALPO's consistent pattern of self-aggrandizement. They would even sometimes argue they weren't "paying attention."

But ALPO's pattern is so clear and longstanding, the only way one can "fail to recognize it" is if one is enriched adequately to "be ignorant" (or have an ax to grind). :huh:

Don't watch Oprah. Just drawing a distinction between standing up and serving penance like a man versus the actions of the 5050 crew whcih killed 2 and injured 45. Nobody who is grounded in reality would ignore the obvious treachery of leaving the scene of FATAL accident after being the cause of said accident. Argue all you want. Concur. In fairness though...equal levels of ignorance can be achieved simply through far too little exposure = "Nic's Great!..so Alpo must be too!!"/etc.

The Association has chosen a policy of dissembling and suppressing any argument of what is "fair and equitable". Though untenable and futile, it has become a hardened policy. Imagine all that is now set aside, and whatever is deemed necessary to suppress the malcontents is now to be justified (indeed is necessary, ACPC funding and dissembling is but a token), and such hardened policy is to the detriment of the President and to ALPA. Ironically ALPA painted itself into this corner. The more unjust an award, the more vociferous the necessity to suppress opportunity for redress.

Now that they painted themselves into the corner by this position on their policy, they must paint themselves head to foot with the same indelible brush.

Pretty much so sir. What's actually surprised me, at least somewhat, was Prater-and-the-Punks amazing "ability" to do NOTHING for over half an entire year that might well have ameliorated the circumstances somewhat. That alone, would give ANY thinking person some proper skepticism on Alpo and it's "processes". A vast "Brain Trust"....these clowns ain't I mean..c'mon..give any proper opportunist/politican access to Alpo's wealth and resources for even a month..and they'd have felt compelled to at least come up with a proper dog and pony show 😉 All we've yet seen's a single goat 😉

First of all Cloyd tried to weasel out of his incident with one of the most absurd defenses ever seen. He had the audacity to argue that he was not yet operating the aircraft, because it was still hooked to the tug during pushback, when the cops showed up. I remember watching this live on Court TV and the Judge almost blew a gasket. You make it sound like his incarceration is voluntary. Any "stand up" behavior came only after he was looking at jail time. Pretty common behavior for the convicted, and we are supposed to be impressed?

Cloyd also had quite a history of alcohol related police visits, including altercations with neighbors and domestic violence. The man is a thug.

As far as the 5050 pilots, if you have a problem with their behavior you should point the finger at your beloved Alpo, who's advice they were following! After the accident, they were still on the scene awaiting the arrival of FAA and NTSB. Incredibly, the Queens DA office decided that they would be the ones handling the investigation - as a motor vehicle accident! They demanded to begin questioning the pilots immediately. The Alpa accident investigators said absolutely NFW and arranged to get them away from those idiots. This is what you call treachery.

A new low has been reached even by your pitiful standards.

Um, I was part of the investigatory team on that accident. It appears you read the inflammatory newspaper reports initially posted, before they had to post corrections.

The entire crew, as advised by ALPA ( you know, the same group you sing praises about), sequestered themselves. ALPA knew their whereabouts at all times. USAPA would do the same, acting as a firewall between the profession and run-amok DAs looking for their next promotion, not to mention wannabe authoritarians. I am certain you will find out that the LGA group has been known to chock aircraft on a taxiway with a smoking brake, among other moronic activities. I expect they will soon be checking for skid-marks on pilot underwear, something a few of you westies might want to, finally, take steps to avoid.

Making inflammatory and obviously incorrect statements will never provide a solution. Even an opinion would be preferable to a lie.

So you're saying it's ok to override every principle of right and wrong based upon the [supposed] statements made by a lawyer which essentially encouraged two individuals to leave the scene of a fatal accident, an act which is a crime in itself. Is that it? Well let me ask you this: if your son or daughter was killed by a driver who suddenly disappeared from the scene, would you still condone leaving the scene? I doubt it.

Ummm...that's exactly what happened with Hughes and Cloyd. They were pulled off the airplane by local law enforcement, questioned, and then the case began. So what you're saying is that they should have run.... I see.

Actually, from all of us on the beautiful planet Earth, we have truly enjoyed your antics and those of your amigos over the last ten months. East, you gotta admit that the goats were kind of funny. But for the sake of all readers, please understand that there are some things that must always be kept separate and one of those combinations is baryard animals and adult films. Very very very few comedians can make that sort of combination work, and I think it's safe to say that nobody on this board could ever make that combination something other than...scary...repulsive...yuck.
