A press release should announce shortly the recall of the 247 senior FA's on the recall list as of 5pm 12/17. Letters should go out 12/20 for classes beginning Feb 4, 11, 18 and 25. Anticipated bases will be LGA, BOS and DCA.

APFA confirms!!! Great news. I get the sense that AA/APFA think this is the last opportunity for a recall. I say that only because they announced today that you have till Monday at 5pm to remove your name from the list if you do not want to be recalled. That way you can help someone lower on the list. They never did that before. Do people think this might be a bad omen for the 400 from 1 NOV? Do you think that they still have any intention to do one more recall before July? Does this recall encompass all from the last group to be furloughed? I.E. the last large group from TW? I can see one more recall of 250 or less for a report at the begining of June. Unless, of course, that there is some sort of break through with AA regarding the recall extension.

Don't count on my math (remember, I was an English major  ), but I don't think a recall of 247 helps those with the 01NOV reprieve at all. There are 1453 f/as on the furlough list; so, after this recall there would still be approx. 1200. The 400 who were supposed to drop off on 01NOV are the most junior of the remaining 1200.

In any case, welcome back to the 247!

This possibly will take care of our f/as with a 1977 seniority date. 1977.

If they keep recalling TWA F/As to LGA and the more senior LGA F/As keep transferring to other AA outposts, LGA is going to turn into a TWA Domicile... "

I thought that TWA was bought out by AA in 2001.

With the arrival of 96 more ex-TWA FA's here in LGA on the 18th there will be approximately 250 of us here, or about 20%. If 200 of the 247 recalls accept and 150 come to LGA (likely number), that percentage may top 30%.

Are we really that short at LGA?
and aren't we all AA F/A's? We really need to stop distinguishing!

I had the same question. I just checked with a friend on domestic reserve in ORD. He is 75 of 83. They haven't seen numbers like that since before 9/11. That is also after they gave out all avilable trips to reserves. Seems like a lot, although X-Mas is coming.

Wish AA would "share the wealth" and send some recalls out west.
The increased headcount in LGA is sucking out flying from other bases and further widening the reserve gap system wide. As SFO transfer list is cleared (not sure of LA) we would love to see some recalls based in SFO ~
Let it be known if your headed back and want to joint the ranks out west. In any case its great to have more of our furloughed flying partners back to work.!!!
