I guess that explains why I have no career in comedy. Thought I was being funny. I see you didn't get the joke.

On longer flights I just ask the person if they want "just a cup or the whole can". Everyone is happy. I'm not running 52 refill orders and no one is sitting in their seat fuming about getting 3 oz of soda.
NOW IF EVERY F/A WOULD JUST FOLLOW POLICY IT WOULD MAKE IT ALOT EASIER. F/A'S TEND TO FORGET THAT WHEN THEY DONT DO POLICY IT MAKES THE F/A WHO FOLLOWS THE RULES LOOK BAD.
Here is a better question or two.
How many pizzed off casual customers will look for the other LCC's $69 fare?
What's the break even point between the savings and pizzed off liesure customers who buy their next ticket on a different carrier versus the cost saving of cup versus can?
I just to the simple thing, I follow policy always pour the cup unless the ask for the can.

if i dont like policy i write in to the department and live with it till it changes......i dont own the airline if i want to make the rules i need to be my own boss and not work for someone else.
Or did she cut your "water" off?
really? you shake their hands... you're good. I'm definitely a "B" person.Sorry, dude, but my 19 years of inflight experience tells me that if we did what manageement wanted all the time, we wouldn't have any customers left. AND, if management would once TRULY listen and implement what we suggest, we wouldn't be having this conversation.
And while we're at it, after the PED light has come on and we have made the final announcement, I thank each f/c customer and shake their hands...oops..shaking
hands isn't POLICY!! I can't wait to see what you have to say about THAT.

Thats a nice touch.....But that being said it like apples and oranges....There is no anti shaking hands policy, There is a cup/can by request policy.
I STILL DONT UNDERSTAND WHY THIS IS SO HARD TO DO.
