What's new

CWA/Teamster labor thread -

The only thing you get from the CWA is silence. Has Velvet ever made the rounds to the stations to talk to the members who pay her salary, no. She has no interest in any of your opinions. She was appointed to her position by Cohen and knows there's nothing you can do about it. Telling people to call is a waste of their time. The CWA has a way to get around the "NO" vote too.

Good post, but one nit to pick. MLE is still very much alive, although the pay scale is now the same as that of mainline sans the USD .25 "customer contact premium".

Scope protection is in the interest of those who work in hubs as well as those in outstations. What would happen in PHL if the company decided that EMB-170 are no longer a mainline type as far as CWA staffing goes?

Furloughed pay is a lot less too
Not sure about snap back on holidays ??? maybe somebody else can answer that

Mainline express and hub express classification language(Look out Piedmont) is still in the contract only not to be used because of a letter of agreement. It was model after American Eagle I’m sure the company will try to revisit it
And less not forget ready reserve

Yes I do,,
So, on that note.. we need to De-Certify the CWA out!

They have years to rectify grievances..=Nada

Let’s go with the IAM like your ramp did

Decertifying the union is very risky

We will see how it goes over at DL/NW and CO/UA

No thanks on the IAM...Another bunch of $$$ thieves!

Why is it risky?

If you petition to have another union in place..

You cant be serious about the CWA?

THEY R A JOKE at this point~

I'm starting a new union, I won't do anything like the CWA, but I'll only charge half the dues.

I'm sure I can find a tubby little errand girl like Velvet for less money too.

Get ready to add another "customer service" to the growing list of do-it-yourself tasks at airports.

Here you go John John, September 2009 OLD THREAD

I know this is kind of off topic but not really, its still CWA News. Piedmont Airlines/US Airways Express has voted in the CWA to represent them.

Could be bad news for many mid-sized cities! Now CWA will collect their dues "mainline or Piedmont"?
