where exactly did Rob say that?southwind said:So you believe if DL cuts 50% of the service at an airport , they should continue with 100% of the employees?

That's good Robbed but you realize US at BOS today is smaller than they were even a few years ago. Do you remember all the Carribean flying they had up until 2008/2009?robbedagain said:Reread my question
josh accrding to steve miller he told me recently some of the folks i used to work with are still there while some went to clt and others retired
FLL is large but shares some of that size with MIA (and even PBI/RSW)737823 said:Surprised FLL and TPA don't make that list Dawg.

Josh is right to a point Robbed. Kev can probably answer better than I can, but I was talking about big chunks of employees getting cut. In which case i believe this is round 3 post merger.737823 said:Robbed pretty sure it's more than three rounds. DL has been slowly cutting it and I think at the time of the merger NW had cut it back considerably. The AMS flight ended in the summer of 2011, I believe and it's final days were on a 763 operating less than daily. It was slated to return on a seasonal basis in 2012, but those plans changed.

Lots of cities are larger than MEM right now.737823 said:Even BOS is larger than MEM in pretty much all measures-flight activity, average gauge, local employees, departures, destinations, etc?
...Says the person who champions farming out line stations...737823 said:US cut many flights and jobs at BOS that's jobs in my local economy and no one shed a tear.
Help me out here; are you really this dumb, or do you just like being a dick?southwind said:So you believe if DL cuts 50% of the service at an airport , they should continue with 100% of the employees?
Pretty sure this is (wholesale) cut #3. Hot on the heels of the farming out of cargo, of course.topDawg said:yep.
Only thing that will be left is ATL, CVG, DTW, MSP, LAX, MCO, ORD, RDU, IND and seasonal SLC/LAS flights.
BOS, MCO, LAS, CMH, RDU, IND are some of the largest non-hubs.
if you count the cargo cut I believe this is number 3.
I can remember when FLL was 2 DC9's/day in the offseason...737823 said:Surprised FLL and TPA don't make that list Dawg.

Depends. If you have a nice manager "I have heard this neighborhood in the PTC/Newnan area is nice"737823 said:Kev what relocation assistance will these employees be given if they pick up and move to ATL, NYC, SEA (or anywhere else in the system with openings)?

...And the closure of the F/A and pilot base base before that...
...And...
