1) have an audience that have a stake in what you are talking about
2) you have to change their opinion.

the answer is clearly not whether Kev changes his mind but the tens of thousands of non-members who read this forum and who 698 is genuinely afraid might be swayed by my opinions.

since southwind and baba and I all are of the same opinion regarding unions, I don't expect they will be swayed by what I say.

Oh goodness. I don't believe anyone has tried to silence you. Matter of fact the only person I know who has done such as thing is you. 
Having said that a lot of times you just post your hopes and dreams. 700 does a pretty good job of at least posting facts.

exactly. I would hope that, if I or anyone else ever changed anyone's opinion on the matter it was because they learned facts to make them do so.

which is exactly what I have been saying for years. leave the decision to active DL employees in their OWN departments.

but since some confirmed, paid union salespeople can't stay out, the rest of us volunteers have to step in.

if you think 700 is a paid union salesman  then ID say he has been promoted to a very high position  and one to be proud of.   700 knows his $h!t when it comes to unions vs company  and he helps folks regardless  and that includes me      He is only offering his personal opin   his own take on how it is now vs back when you were there     Your posts really make it look like you speak for all DL folks     but you need to understand the time period from the time you were there vs now   way different now then way back when,    Not to mention over 12k FAs think otherwise and hence the card drive    The same is happening at ACS      It only my personal wish to see DL become union so that there is a fair level playing instead of how it currently is.     For example why is it in some stations not the entire ramp is mainline?   Ive heard response from Kev and Dawg and other DL folks  but you never explain ur side    The make up area for example is part of the ramp  is it not?????    yet at DL here its farmed out
