IAM Card collection at AA

The IAM can promise IAMNPF to AA and US employees post merger in this alliance nonsense but they will only get it if the company agrees.

Look at all the empty promises the IAM has made to the non-union CO agents who will soon be out of a job once Rich Delaney and Sito Pantoja have their way and UA mainline is down to seven protected stations.

IAM made promises to the TWA workers too, how well did things turn out for them?

Sito spoke authoritatively saying DL FAs would get IAMNPF, the union only gets what the company is willing to offer.

IAM always caves on their members see Caterpillar and Lockheed Martin.

the biggie question is... the twu/iam association would negogiate for the pension... but at what cost thats the biggie there what cost

Robbed,
As Kev has said before, labor collectively gives away the store to "save the pension" only to find the pension later frozen or terminated. It makes little sense to give up pay, benefits and scope TODAY only for the empty promise of future benefits that are questionable at best relating to future mergers, bankruptcy or insolvency of IAMNPF in the future. Unions are using the MEPPs like the IAMNPF both as an organizing tool and hope it keeps existing members loyal to the union that hasn't delivered for them.

The multiplier for IAMNPF is a joke, how to do they expect people to live off that? As Bob Owens said if the IAM pension was so great USAIR wouldn't be full of old people.

Its a multi-employer plan which is funded to 105%

A joke?

Right now for a mechanic its is $86 a month, right now for negotiations $104 is being asked.

And if you have the equivalent of a 401k it would run out, where the pension doesnt.

Dont let the facts get in your way, you have no clue what you are talking about.

How stupid are you, really?

The members have a pension plan since 1949 till 2005 when the court terminated it. Then there was no pension from 2005 till 2008 when the IAM negotiated the IAMNPF, so they have only been in the plan for five years.

I have come to the conclusion your just flame baiting.

700 why don't you tell us about the 40% reduction on future benefits in the IAMNPF in 2014 and why????

Chew Tobacco Chew Tobacco SPIT!
VOTE IBT!

There isnt a 40% reduction for all benefits, there is a possible reduction if a new agreement isnt reached between IAM and certain employers arent reached.

And its for people who were in the plan 2005 and before.
