So... reading the email sent to all of us from the IAM today, it states that the COMBINED seniority list was generated on Sept. 19 by the company. Where does one look to access that seniority list? There was no mention of it made in our briefings over the past couple days. Can't seem to find it via the IAM link or theHub/Wings. Hmmm.. what gives?!?!

From the way I read it, it seems to me it should have been posted in our stations, On Friday or at the latest on Monday. I have not seen it either.
Like you said what gives.

6. Any protests to the integrated seniority lists must be filed in writing with the Company and the
Union within 90 days of the posting or other notice to the affected employees. Employees on
inactive status who return to active status shall have 90 days from the date they return to work
to protest the integrated lists. Seniority protests must be in compliance with the provisions of
Article 7.J of the US Airways’ Agreement.

According to the T/A it looks like the clock is ticking.

No way to protest anything when there is no seniority list to view...

It is still a mystery as to where to go to view this COMBINED list that has been generated. Does the Union have an answer? Does the Company? Which entity has this list in its possession to make available to IAM members to view?

Here is a posting from the soon to be gone Randyroo on the seniority issue.

How many days is it before he is gone?

According to this we have until Dec. 18 2008 to protest the seniority list. RC says the list was posted Sept 19.

Where is this so-called list?.............Has anyone seen it?...............If so where?

The company should have delivered the list to all bid areas. At least this is how M&R list is passed out. The local union office should have a station roster along with a system roster.

Hey Joe, I read somewhere that the list is in Admin.-------Supposedly you have to get a manager and have them take you in there to look at it.....Big Secret I guess.

I'll be checking on that this weekend when i get back, if you find out sooner, let me know.

Talk to ya later.

Jimmy
I will look into that first thing in the morning. I will let everyone know what I find out.

A call was made to Bob Westons office today and he says the list will be out this week. He didn't know why the union said it was out the 19th. It isn't, but will be.

Article in todays papers that the PHL Airport
is looking into major expansion. That would
include moving the UPS facility to the other
side of the airport allowing another runway
while purchasing 72 residences in Tinicum along
with 10 buisness's. They hope to gain approval and
complete the project by 2020 / 2025. This is a
huge deal that if approved or occurs would allow
PHL to become not only a Int'l main stay but increase
its' appeal to become a dominant Int' Airport.

The fact that the airport is still city owned and
operated keeps them from claiming emminent
domain and forces the city to try to purchase the
real estate through willing sellers but if the airport
should become state owned or a port authority this
could change overnight.

We shall see but it was in the Phl papers this morning.

The integrated seniority list was printed up today. You have to go to admin and ask to see it. Be sure to go and make sure your date is correct. You have until Dec 18th to protest if it is not correct.

Do you protest directly to the company, or do you have to file a grievance through the iam?

Both:

6. Any protests to the integrated seniority lists must be filed in writing with the Company and the
Union
within 90 days of the posting or other notice to the affected employees. Employees on
inactive status who return to active status shall have 90 days from the date they return to work
to protest the integrated lists. Seniority protests must be in compliance with the provisions of
Article 7.J of the US Airways’ Agreement.
7. All protests shall be reviewed by the Company and the Union. If the Company and the Union
are unable to agree on resolution of employee protests, those protests shall be submitted to final
and binding arbitration in accordance with Sections 3 and 13 of the Allegheny-Mohawk Labor
Protective Provisions.

Filing a written Grievance would most likely be the best way to do this. That way you can track the grievance and have proof of acceptance of the protest.
I have a feeling there will be a long list. There are members that have left the company from closed stations still on the list. The Bozo's are really wanting us to do the job for them I guess!
Hey Joe and Jimmy, Check with the Grievance Committee. They seem to be on their toes and have a copy you can check out without needing an escort!
