The only thing the DL can do legally is file a grievance.

Customer Service - Communication Workers of America in Philadelphia have put the company on notice, petitions are almost complete. Boston, LaGuardia, Pittsburg, Albany, Buffalo, Cleveland, Portland, Newark etal same deal. From what we understand the Company still continues to give out masses of transitional discipline in the biggest cities before cutover tomorrow. Sad news for our employees who basically run the company, pitiful of what the company thinks of us, especially around holiday time. I don't understand why the IAM is not on board with this and what their plans are as grievances won't just cut it for us in Customer Service.

Bottom line- IT IS TIME TO STICK TOGETHER AND SHOW THEM WHO THEY ARE Pssssing OFF!

dex,
You can't grieve a violation of your contract till it actually violates your contract which won't

happen until dec 1 and beyond at that point the grievances will begin. As far as the IAM not doing anything

well they at least got the coming to agree to expedited arbitration which should be in march by the latest

much more then our CWA counterparts have done.

I just tried to go to the iam 141 website, but i got nothing comeing up. Does anyone else haveing the same issues?? just curious

I went to the IAM 141 website and connected to the main page but when I tried to connect to the US Airways page it was not available. The United page was available.

Rich:
I'm going to ask the same question I asked in the sick policy thread:
What shall fleet do? Please tell fleet what to do. Should fleet pretend this doesn't exist ?
I guess Im confused. The Union has made it clear to the company that they are against this new policy, and they have made it clear to the membership that they would fight it through arbitration. I know people want this thing stopped now, but the union has to act in the guidelines of the Railway labor act,or I dont think they would have much of a case in arbitration if they dont. But maybe you guys out there know something I dont. Just what is it that you guys want the union to stand up and do that they havent done yet? Not trying to be sarcastic, just wondering.

Always a way to get the message across Charlie Brown.

Just a couple more hours till cut over time. Should be a real blast.

I agree, I am more than willing to do whatever we can, but I think a lot of people around our system, unless you have a attendance problem, just isnt to worried about this policy. I do think that its going to be interesting to see how these new guys we elected handle this, but so far I think they have done a pretty good job in letting everyone know they will fight this.

Ive benn on time all the time. but with this new crap policy, i ve already heard that the iam has already filed grievance

Will someone please tell A.H. to stop pennalizing us with one hand will the Company is rewarding us with "Kudos" in the other.

AWESOME OPS THROUGH THANKSGIVING WEEKEND

Despite significant flight reductions and high load factors we posted some impressive numbers for Thanksgiving weekend. We had zero mainline and Express cancellations on Thanksgiving Day and there were only 1.82 mishandled bags per 1,000 customers! Our A14 on time performance was 90.6 percent for mainline and 90.8 for Express – we’re making great strides in getting our passengers where they’re going with their bags on time.

The great operational stats continued into Friday – Express had a 100 percent fleet launch and both PHX and CLT had a 100 percent first bank performance.

A big thank you to all our employees who worked the busy holiday weekend!

It's anti-productive !!!!
