yeah but it doesn't matter if they never call you back,or if it years later and you have moved on

Sure thing.... otherwise it is 60 days to pull-up the family, break a lease (or sell a house?), move to another station with open positions for a job which paid around $10/hour? That might be a tough sell for the wife, regardless of my love of aviation. Three years would appear to be remarkably generous, especially with sizable pay increases for those who would come back or transfer (and three matching years of flight benefits... did I hear that right from my sources in LAS?)

This T.A. was about getting more time. Time for furloughees, time on a contract during a tough economic downturn, and time for smaller West station employees to plan for the future. I have very few regrets about this contract, and am relieved it was finally accepted.

So Consoles Jester.

All I'm gonna say... boys …is …

Git ready fer mergers 'n acquisitions in 2009! This will be drivin’ by tha Northwest/Delta merger… as well as market dynamics.

Nelson… ND08… yahh may git another chance tahh rectify this DOH issue soon in another Transition Agreement… Can I git ahh pledge from Delany to address this issue?

Let’s see… Freedum… Ms. Shocker… Jester… Cool… how nostalgic!
This is like ahh dysfunctional heritage forum!

I'm coming out of lurking because I have reached my absolute tolerance level of "stupid". You" west metal" employees have pretty much assured your own unemployment. Our union "representatives" played you for fools and apparently weren't wrong. Management is now fully confident that they can ramrod any conditions down our collective throats with no resistance. All that you have demonstrated is that fleet service employees deserve no more consideration than a toilet. (Deposit all of your crap here).
Thanks westies!!!... Oh and no consolation here but, plenty of schadenfreude

Hey Roa.
All our rowdy friends are here today. I'm getting misty eyed.

Our reps played us for fools ? i hate to bring up RC , BUT he was right in his statment to our union , when he mentioned hard econmic times ahead ... and those times are just starting .. besdies if this thing hadn't passed a TON of people were going to quit ... and to those who think we'd have gotten any futher than where we got .... i guess you don't remember how the company liked to play it's little games and drag things out .... and out .... and out ..... if we were still at the table now AH would be rubbing his hands in glee ....

but yeah anyways .... i don't agree with the new sick policy and i think we should reject it ...7 points = your fired ..... what if you get the flu and your out for a week ? or a back injury ? or you've got children who have to be taken care of ? We DO have a few single mom's out here on the ramp ... it should be ten points ...

Freedom
All I have heard of a new policy is rumor and hearsay. I have seen nothing to indicate a new policy is being implemented.

If a new policy is being put in place I don't think we will have any say so as to accepting it or not.

Regardless if a new policy is put in place we will have FMLA to protect us in the event of sick children/family member or long term health problems. Under FMLA the company is very restricted as to what disclipine can be taken.

Ah joe the word is VERY thick here on the street in PHX that it IS going to be the new policy with sick leave and performance being separate issues … they say HR has dreamed this one up and they are seeking to implement it … althou legally I don’t know how they can just impose some thought up policy without our consent from a legal stand point (if they don't do it here in PHX now and don't do it on the east coast then it's a new contract change i would think )…. If I recall the new contract gives us 8 paid sick days a year , so at the LEAST I’d think the point scale they would set would be 8 instead of 7 …. But your right , until it’s officially announced I guess I’ll just have wait …

Also a lot of people are pissed about having to use FMLA … it’s an abuse of what the government intended it to be … but your right , if that’s the way we have to go about it , fine … I’ve heard stories about “people†don’t know any names or nutting , calling in sick using FMLA on like the same day every two weeks , month after month and there’s nothing the company can do ..

Awlright…

My understandin’ is… that this “new†sick policy that y’all 'r bantering about… is tahh come about in conjunction with the revised sick-time policy... outlined in our Transition Agreement… to be fully implemented on the OEI date.

This is being done by the Company to hopefully instill deterrence to prevent tha boys frum bangin’ in by tha sh** loads on the OEI date!

And... NO… juss like DOH… it ain’t covered intha agreement!

GITCHA SUM!

??? for freedom.
since oil is back in the 70 dollar range. has doug come around asking you guys

in phx if you want anymore money in your check or better benefits. I remember you expressing

interest in giving away the store when oil was up in the 120 range.

Didn't mean to put you the spot. I already KNOW the answer just like everyone east of the Mississippi

knows the answer. But I'm sure He and his cronies will enjoy splitting our P/S checks amongst themselves

You see since they don't have to share the wealth with the people that make this airline work . they don't

have to try and hide the profits no more. Oh well ignorance is bliss

our union really had the rank and files best interest at heart. If YOU will not take a stand (in spite of the risk) then you deserve whatever is forced upon you.
Freedom, you voted for your current state of bondage.....period

WTF ,
VERY GOOD POINT. If you don't have a set of B*lls then don't b*tch about the scraps the company
throws at you .

Yup...

That's tha friggin' O-Man I know!

Glad yer back dude!

WTF I love yer posts... Go SquidBillies! "Unknown Henson" did tha voice over!

GITCHA SUM!
