RR is no longer of any consequence. The one man band wigged out and handed the keys over to someone who could drive. Lenzie, Prez and another person stepped up to the plate and formed a Committee like what should have been done all along. From what I hear these people have a positive history and are straightening out the mess that was abandoned.

I am getting a good feeling. What will DoUgIe's wife, I mean Freedom, do without RR running up to the castle?

O'man, which Rat are you callin ugly?

you know which one . the one that wears a crown..

If the new PHX committee needs any assistance I'll step up.

We ain't scared Jester besides its a dry heat. I could handle that a whole lot better than the Florida sauna. Ain't that right Giant Fan?

Many apologies to you my friend....it's football season and my mind is elswhere and haven't been on the boards much...(not to mention I'm still trying to get over Monday night's debacle in Cleveland  )

as far as PHX heat....I'd like to think I could handle it if I can handle Fla, but 120 degrees in the summer?? at my age ....   I don't know, I think I'd be more of a giant mess than a giantfan....and I don't know if I could handle all those Card fans......although I loved them this week!

PHX isn't THAT bad. They have the drink cart. In fact, maybe one of you East Coast guys should transfer there and bid on it. You get to drive around all day serving drinks. You'll have the seniority.

nec,
I'll pass on the drink cart to much in the sun,

I'm thinking that a/c mover position. wingwalker.. Now thats the gig. Already checked

would be top dog on that

That’s not entirely correct rat tales …. Ron is stepping down as station chair after having served in the position for at least the last 4 years … I’d like to thank Ron for all of his hard work … and if my memory serves me right he will still be staying on in some capacity for the larger organization … From almost as far back as I can remember the man, he was always helping people out , on his breaks he’d be dashing around from break room to break room with his paper work personally talking to anyone who had any questions or needed his help in any union capacity … heck he’d even be out on the ramp in 110 degrees plus doing both his ramp job and fielding any questions the workers had …He was literally superman . I have never see any union rep work so hard or show such steadfast dedication to the union or our cause .

That man was more than a one man band , he was a force of nature …. In a right to work state he took people I never believed would ever come to care about union issues and imbued his passion , his fire if you would and made them stalwart ! Those of us here from America west airlines would not today enjoy a livable wage if it were not for that man! Ron you took our union , a disorganized and demoralized group of individuals and like an artist you formed us into a stronger mass …. Like some demigod you reached deep inside of us and vanished our seemingly eternal hopelessness ,replacing an ever darkening future with a light so radiant that no one could ever doubt there was an end to our tunnel .

When others faltered , when others gave up hope , Ron Roth stayed the course ,in my mind there could have been no better captain to our ship … When he dealt with this company I never had any doubt as to his power , he was his own force …. He could see through the companies stall tactics and lies , and he was never afraid to take action when it was required …. Many a time he came close to losing his job , and this company would have liked nothing more than to have eliminated him , but each time they tried he rebounded , and came back stronger than ever …His bravery was like that of Geronimo .His fearlessness inspired others …

No matter what he does in the future , no matter where he goes , his name will be spoken of for years to come on our ramp… and he will always be remembered fondly .

Thank you Ron Roth for all that you have done for us .

geez freedom ,
got to say that was a nice eulogy , you do have some talent after all. But unfortunately

your idea of unionism and leadership is a little flawed. I give you the benefit of the doubt of having never

worked in a real union shop. so you don't have much to compare. Funny I was there for a week and

never saw or spoke to the so called superhero once as a matter of fact none of the other folks with my

group ever saw him leaping small buildings and kissing babies and such. However I can attest that since

becoming a union member back in 94 . I have never been to or seen such a PRO COMPANY , PRO

MANAGEMENT station as I saw in PHX. SO as far as him bringing UNIONISM and such to you guys well

thats up for debate. H*LL he didn't even try and establish a LOCAL for all the UNION folks to go for a

meeting. Seeing that PHX is the 3rd largest local on the system that should have been a gimme

RR is out for RR and that is it period. But the eulogy was nice none the less.

Hey Bagfather,
should you be packing for the redeye to JAX..

YOU BETTER BE THERE

O-man

Two more day's until Christmas.

As far as the RR debate I would say that mabey he was a victum of bad
company. He'd have a hard time winning a personality contest in the
east nor would he fare well with many of the west field stations.

I don't doubt that he will work very hard in his new position.

I'm such a slow writer that it's now only a day and a half before
Christmas. BF
