Then how do you expect to make a change if you will not get involved? You are welcome for everything that we fought for, not you, and that you benefited from. Our fight. If you are not willing to take a stand, or fight the fight with us, then you are clearly against us making any gains against the company/I'll Ask Management.
 
I’m only willing to fight the company , I will not fight the union .
 
I know a new hire in phx that is going to be quiting soon. I'm pretty sure he would be up for it. What all is required for him to do this?
 
Somehow i don't think we should be entrusting our future and or major union changes to someone who's about to quit .....

Unless their off probation, they are not eligable to do anything, as they are not offically a member of the union.

I am guilty. Guilty of apathy. Guilty of inaction. Guilty of indifference. No more. I have recieved my parole and will not return to that past life. I have realized I can make difference. I will take an active stance in what our futures hold. I spent years coming to work and doing the best job I knew how to do and letting others decide what direction we were heading. This is no longer enough. I love my job. I want this company to not just survive but thrive. In order to do so we each must do what is necessary to strengthen our position within the company and with the IAM. If you don't want to file the DFR I understand but perhaps you know someone who would be willing. Put them in contact with Tim and lets get the ball rolling.
 
I won’t lie to you , there are many out here who share you views , so you’ll find someone I’m sure to file it for you … but won’t such an action takes months and months ? I’m totally turned off by the idea of more legal battles , I want ACTION , not a long period of waiting while we let lawyers decide our fate again … No we’ve waited here for too long , and now it’s too late …

The way I see it , either we hammer something out SOON like before the super bowl , or everything is going to TUL .

What action do you want. Because from your posts you are not willing to take any. Either against the company or the I'll Ask Management. So I ask you, WAHT ACTION DO YOU WANT? Again you are welcome for our efforts.
 
What action do I want ? I want a CONTRACT !!!!!!!!!!

As far as I’m concerned the RLA is now just a worthless piece of paper .

Geez PJ , can’t you read between the lines , there’s only SO much I can say before the hammer will fall on me so I must be careful in how I word it .

I understand that. I want a fair and equtable contract also. I am stepping up to the plate for a change. What are you doing to that effect. I see that you want action but are unwilling to make the I'll Ask Management accountable for their actions.
 
Our union is going to be held accountable , during ELECTION time which isn’t far away now … I can’t see how much more accountable things can be besides being replaced ?

As for stepping up to the plate , I’d say we’re giving the company one last chance to sit down at the table and try and hash things out with our union before WE become unreasonable and intransient .

Overall I thought it was pretty sound for the company and the union to sit down and have talks as quickly as they did . I know Tim believes that the company is crawling back to the table , but they are not , especially after just winning that prolonged legal fight .

The company has returned to the table because they want to end the foot dragging and labor dispute flair ups that make the news from time to time … As the morale on both coasts of this company plummet, our MBR rises and our stated arrival times become less reliable .Robert Isom want’s to introduce a new way of doing things on the ramp , but at the same time I’m sure he knows that no one’s going to be more receptive to doing things differently and or working harder without a carrot .

Our company would LIKE to have a TA so it can show the business world that their finally able to make labor progress after X amount of years after this merger , however , there isn’t a gun to managements head , they do not NEED a TA , and they don’t even need one in order to merger with yet another airline . It’s a want not a need .


You want action PJ ? What kind of action are you talking about , against the company or against the union ? As far as action to change our union goes , I’m voting for RON ROTH!!! And to be honest I’d rather be voting for him for union president ….but maybe next election cycle …
 
QUESTION:

How can Roth run as VP at large? Is he a west emp.? Is he a member of 141 or the west imposed
TWU contract. Is there a vilation here? Have had feeler's out about this subject but nobody
wnats to talk or has answers.
