Got that right .... that was sweet  (or at least compared to what we have now!) We all actually made more money then than we do now! Don't throw a tomato at me cause I reminded y'all of the good ole'days :disguise:

That's kinda like asking AA FAs to board, which actually happened once. Uh, don't work that way. Agents were like "well they're FAs .... in uniform ..." True story, wish I remembered where that was 🙄

You know it serves them right when they schedule East crews out West and vice versa. Its even more fun when an East crew gets a mechanical out west or vice versa! I've experienced that more than once. Oh what fun it was! "NO, we cannot fly N568AW", yea but ..... Ahhhh No! Talk to Doug
Hey... I would like to have my 1990 contract back????
Better yet....
1989...
😱

Oh Please, give us a break. BB is a nice guy but we all know he isn't worth the 108 hrs a month he is being paid. He is far from the best AFA representative we have. I don't know why everyone is getting so excited about his possible demise. We all also know this MEC is about as weak as they come they will slap his wrist and call it a day.

The VP being recalling isn't going to happen. Everyone calm down. I think that MEC has turned into the Hotel California. ^_^
Come on back PITBULL. I would poo twice and die laughing with Welcome Banners and Balloons! The rest of AFA would go into anaphylactic shock.

Do you ever wonder why anyone would like to work at AFA-CWA$$$$$$$$$$$ Go to Union Facts.com
<_<
I would love to see Buddy recalled not for being a Dead Beat V.P. but rather that Teddy would come back as a Lodo her word is GOLD. That would be the storm and the eye would be having to look her staight in the face. Frankly I would have to wear depends Go

As a Greek LODO she would only be a line holder May-Oct. Then she would have to sit reserve on this LTO system that was negotiated under her leadership. Unless of course the PHL base elects her to unseat JM. I'm not saying he shouldn't be unseated, but she isn't nearly as popular in PHL as she would like to think. Yes, her entire PIT base is over there now but thats not enough votes to carry her into office. Frankly I think it would be sweet justice to see her have to sit in PHL as a reserve to get a good dose of what LTO means. She can go to BB for LTO advice, since he also played a part in negotiating it. Great team they made, two of US Airways finest AFA representatives. They can take credit for these last two contracts we have, thats something to be so proud of.

Fly,
I was at CCY with the IAM M&R and let me tell you if Teddy wasnt there, you think what your working on is bad now? You should have read what the company really wanted.

It was Teddy single handily who's influence with the media made Glass, McKeen and Hemenway back down.

Most of us the differant Negotiating Committees talked at least once a day to update each other on progress, proposals and lack of.

Do you know Teddy prevented a lot of things that you will never know and I as an former IAM M&R is deeply appreciative of all her work and how she stopped the company from implementing things that would have cost other classifications their jobs.

You have no idea of what she did to make things better for your group and the personal sacrifice she had to endure.

I would gladly have her as my rep anyday no matter where I work and what job I do.

For those that think Teddy's flame has flickered for the last time may be sadly mistaken. I don't think she would care about sitting reserve during the off time as her single goal would be to CLEAN HOUSE baby. As for people that think she's irrelevant.....hmmmm. All I'll say is what she may have forgotten many in the AFA will NEVER know. She has the power and most importantly the brains to take the group in the right direction. I could see her coming back if for only ONE thing. To clean out select individuals from AFA and restore order.

Well someone had best step up to the plate and lead or come contract time it's going to be a sad day to be a F/A for US.

I mean what's Mike going to do? Write another stern memo?
Would you or someone else please provide some sort of proof that MF is not negotiating tactfully with the company? Each time I speak with him, or read his updates, I get the feeling that he is showing up, negotiating, and is not going to waste everyones time by agreeing to a tentative that we will vote down. Am I wrong?

When I get to see a complete reserve section and streamlined line holder process we'll talk. Until then the jury is out.

They sure are. As for the last crew news exchange between Doug, Mike and Lisa and the departure of Finn it will be interesting to see if we make any headway. The company really needs to cut the bull. People they must sense have had enough.

Um, sorry that your opinions do not conform with the facts as BB had nothing to do with LTO.

(One would think a second-term AFA rep would know the history .... <_< )

sigh ...

By all means enlighten me, who negotiated the 2002 agreement that included LTO? I believe it was in that t/a that LTO was negotiated.

What I would like to know is why MF supposedly says he will not entertain Rotating Reserve because the senior people won't go for it... My thinking is that the senior people would never even see RR. The group that would have to deal with it would be the crowd that has to deal with the current LTO system (generally those hired late 89-the last class that came out in '01 also including the West Reserves that were most recently hired and I'm sure they would like to have a say so as well since their RSV also is a nightmare. The last time I checked I was paying the same $43.00/month as those that have been around since the piston!

You don't have to be a second-term AFA rep to know the history, you just have to be intelligent:

* MEC Elects Negotiating Committee

In addition to MEC President Karen Lascoli, the Negotiating Committee elected to represent you is:

Teddy Xidas, President of Local 40, Pittsburgh
Buddy Brannon, President of Local 69, Boston
Terri Graf, Vice President-Elect of Local 70, Philadelphia

So now the question becomes was LTO negotiated in the 2002 agreement that has TX, BB, and TG names on it?
