Kind of a light subject, but...Since eventually all of the employees are going to have to be in the same uniform, wouldnt this be an opportune time to introduce a new one? What would you like to see?

I would like to see a return to the 1970's
PSA uniforms for the female F/A's/.
Showing more leg certainly improves the
ride whether or not it is on-time, or
whether the plane is clean or not.

The stuffy uniforms that Messer Wolf
designed are really kind of dull.

Oh, and none of the female F/A's are
allowed to be offended by my suggestion
becaue for the most part, they like the
attention they get from showing a little
leg.

Be careful what you wish for...many years have gone by since the 60s & 70s....

🙂

I guess you have not flown lately and seen the Older F/As.

And your remarks are sexist.

Dude:

Relax. You know business would pick up
if the F/A's wore the 1970's PSA uniforms
and the company promoted it like crazy.
Sex and flying go together like NASCAR
and trailer parks. Get over it already.

Oh yea the flying public will rush to buy tickets because a F/A will show more leg, NOT!

Gimme a break, go fly Hooters Air if that is what you want.

Any new uniform would work for me. Ours have had it.

If AWA knows what's good for them and their image, they won't let anyone who had anything to do with uniforms at US come near the process! Good god....that aviator shirt for female FAs and Customer Service was one of the worst uniform ideas I've ever seen.

At this point, I'd wear about anything if it meant I could ditch the US uniform I've been in since the LAST merger in '89! 🙄

I'm hoping for something a little more high fashion like the new DL uniforms that are slated to come out next year. BA and AF have also launched some great new uniforms. 🙂

I hope we do not go casual...we are trying to differentiate ourselves from the true LCCs so we will want to give off a more business like image since we will be offering a superior product.

I hate to say it, but if many of our fontline employees took a few minutes to comb their hair in the morning, iron their shirts and dry clean their uniforms when necessary, you'd see that the current US uniform (when worn properly and with pride) is actually one of the classiest amongst US carriers (MUCH classier/better looking than NW, AA, UA, DL, WN, HP, CO's in my opinion). Many employees still manage to take pride in their appearance and believe me, it is noticed by pax and coworkers alike. Funny how these are also the same people who tend to provide superior customer service and don't take their problems with the company out on our passengers.

What's up with our crews walking around holding their hats in their hands instead of wearing them with pride? What about the Capt and FOs strutting around with personal leather jackets? What about the ladies that still wear the off colored pinstriped blouses that look like they are 100 years old (sorry, but NONE you you look good in these...white shirts have been available for what, 10 yrs now?)? Or the guys with huge pit stains on their shirts? ...my personal peeve are the people who mix in items that have the old USAir logo (ie sweaters, belt buckles) into the current uniform!

:End of Rant:

A new uniform would be wonderful! We, as well as some of the other Express stations, have gone to all ramp. It's actually terribly embarrassing for all of us to be in our striped mechanic shirts that are our ramp uniform. But they have a collar! We really look awful. AirTran has a nice mixture of uniforms, they have the nice customer service and nice polos, something like that would be cool.

I'm with Spin Doc...I say BRING 'EM BACK!

I am all for the days of hats, gloves, and go-go boots! 😀

I'll bet Dea Cearte still looks great walking the Atlantic and Carribean in these grubs.

And Light Years will have no problem either! 😉

(Come to think of it...it's the GUYS who will be fightin' to wear these!)

USAIRWAYS GIVES YOU A LIFT.
