Here is the "ethic" we are dealing with with the "angry man" DiOrio from PHL.  Nice work if you can get it!  What a disgrace, but par for the course for DiOrio, the thief of union flight pay loss.  Hey PHL pilots..how about you address this with Paul!

This was Paul DiOrio's 4 day trip for Monday December 16th. USAPA calls a conference call meeting for two hours at 8AM on Monday morning and DiOrio drops the four day trip. His trip went out at 1605 on Monday. Four days of pay for a two hour phone call...priceless!  RR

Appreciate all you have done in the past, but hummel needs to make the furture appeal apparent to the East or he is finished.

Judge Silver will issue an order as a mediator and will not rule by the law,  it will be a guaranteed appeal win.
Clax, I have no problem with recall, it is part of the union.  I find it disgraceful that they used Bradford as a pawn with the West. The pilots will speak with votes on the recall, and Silver will rule.  I agree, all a win on appeal.  RR

The APA, AMR, the UCC, Scott KIrby, and USAPA were all aware of the roadblock the CLT reps set that kept our pilots from getting anything. They were played accordingly, with one of the most masterful plays of political genius I have ever seen. But don't believe me, I am just making it up.

If you want the "source" of the retro pay look to the honorable Pete Dugstad, from DCA. It was his idea. And now PHL and CLT want to neuter his vote.

I shook the hands of all three CLT reps after the vote. They are to be commended for allowing our pilots to vote on the MOU, but no more than any Rep or any line voting pilot.  But they were played, and their crowing to this day continues to give us all a chuckle. Who cares, the result was 1.6B in improvements

The beauty of it is to this day they (and guys like luvthe9) don't realize they were played.

If not for Bradford East pilots would not be here discussing this, they would have been UAL fodder.  West wants Bradford out, not the East.

I always get a kick out of this one.  Pilots bragging that they played the CLT reps....

So basically the braggarts are admitting that they conspired with management to low ball the BPR in order to cap the right knee of the CLT reps, leaving the CLT reps with a very limited chance to "get a manufactured win" via retro pay.  And then to ensure the CLT reps would consider themselves lucky to get retropay, rather than push harder, the braggarts stirred up a recall to cap the left knee for added insurance against any meaningful bargaining.... because the braggarts had already made their deal with management... and played the CLT reps to get it.    Yeah, they played it rather skillfully.

Meanwhile the APA gets 13.5% of the New American (meaning they get 13.5% of the value USAir added to the new American), they got Parker to pay the taxes on that equity, they got $500M pumped in their retirement (about $500K each), and we received $8K, pay our own taxes, and.... wait for it.... we got the "manufactured win" of the braggarts who played the CLT reps.

Yeah,  Played.

You saw retro pay hit your bank account.  Doesn't that mean you won't ever post here again?

P.S.  I like my new pay rates, my $8 minus taxes, and my retro pay...

I heartily give full credit to the players who played CLT, but mostly to the management negotiators who won the players over to the notion that they were playing CLT, rather than being played themselves.

Has nothing to do with the need to recall hummel. Respecting your help with USAPA over the years, your above quote is useless to the dangers that lie ahead.    hummel, put it in writing about the appeal or you are finished.

I always get a kick out Res J. when he goes ape dung and starts throwing out anything and everything.    I admire pilots who make the contract pay the most for the least work.  I thought all pilots admired that.

Some folks have an extraordinary skill of talking authoritatively while saying nothing and committing to even less.  Duplicitous platitudes can win even the confidence of enemies (who forget they are such) and move things along.  Such skills have their usefulness and are vital to a company.  Otherwise, how could a CEO have any success at a town hall meeting?

If a union president had suck skills, it would be their greatest asset, and their greatest liability.

Who paid him for that 4 day trip?

The company or you and me?

Maybe. But not his call on any appeal. The Officers already have the approval of the BPR to appeal all the way. That permission precedes Hummel, and I think even Cleary. RR

You and I, the union. The BPR "rules." If they claim the pay they get it, no vote or Officer intervention allowed.  He accuses the President of stealing authority, yet steals from us in his FPL.   Claiming a 4 day that leaves in the afternoon for a call that ends by Noon?  I can tell you this, had I the vote..I would not have paid him, ever.   what a low life.  RR
