Kinda hard to move up when you're in the top 4% (#21 of 474) of your seat.  You're there by choice of lifestyle, not because you can't hold anything else.  You're on the 75 hour option.  There are 182 group 2 Captains junior to you.  You could be a line holding (#21 of 99) 767 First Officer in CLT.  You could hold a secondary line as an A330 F/O in CLT (#48 of 119) Obviously you don't need the money.
Traitor is just like all the politicians he spins his conspiracy lines about. Skews facts and twists the truth. Some integrity.

You get paid what you're worth, $125 an hour.  😀

I'm way overpaid, sleeping in seat 1A most of the time.
You are asleep most of your life.

Junebug is quite testy these days.

Testy?

I'll trade jabs with Pi, sure. I'm not  throwing him off the jumpseat because I disagree with him on the seniority dispute.

He's no flounder, flopping around willy nilly like a fish out of water.

I'm sure you can relate.

I think the new hire pilots do a better job than you.

How can you say that, you and I have never even flown together.

It usually takes a Captain hours to discover new hires do a better job.

And he thinks he is a Capt, all that jumpseat bravado!
It takes two to fly the aircraft. If the FO does not feel comfortable with a certain jumpseater being on the flight deck the Capt can find a replacement FO if there is a disagreement.

Problem solved.

Its ok.  Several of the Westies are 1,200 to 1,400 numbers senior to themselves.  You can live vicariously through them.   😀

AC was smart enough to bail out of furloughed air and go to work for airline who was the acquiring carrier. I see no reason for him to go below any lay-z-boy pilot who sat around waiting on a bailout while collecting unemployment.

Just as the other former East pilots who made the same decision as AC who should be senior to themselves since they brought their job to the merger.

That's they way the arbitrator ruled, isn't it Phoenix...... 😀

Smart? A guy just junior to me left and went to "the acquiring carrier" in 2005. How smart was he?

You see how smart you were when you retire, but the real smart ones give luck a little credit.

Yes he can, but the F/O, that being you can't tell the CAPT who rides the jumpseat!

Uh sure Snappy... The arbitrator factored in each pilot's "smarts" to determine their seniority.... Part of ALPA merger policy!

"Smarts" is also an inherent discriminator in paragraph 10h. of the MOU.

How do you know if I'm JJ, Move, Fodase, Jim, Clear or anyone of those who y'all ran off or decided to get out of the sandbox? Another thing, I'll bet the Capt puts his pants on one leg at a time like everyone else. The FO can and most certainly has a right to say who rides in the jumpseat or to command a go-around for that matter.

Whether it's 10h or 4h the membership has a lot to learn.

Learning by doing.

That's the slogan.

One of these days you'll get it right.

Or not...

The F/O has no say in who rides the jumpseat, you do have the right to leave the trip anytime you feel like!, As for commanding a go-around, your SUGGESTIONS are greatly taken into consideration, the same reason your hands don't stay on the throttles after the power is set! Our Finnish friend!
