Mixing of metal message now on catcrew.   Starting today we can fly each others aircraft.  Wont be scheduled that way but can be used in cases of broken trip pairing due to wx or maint.

East and west crews will not mix, and east and west flight numbers will stay the same,  only the tail numbers can be swapped.

Other than being able to fly each others a/c all other aspects of operations remain the same.
330 crews are now interchangeable....

I wonder if the 76 can/will be crewed by a West 75 crew?

Are there any current west 73 crews? 190?

The East got sucked into America West for 8 yrs. lowest pay, pension, benefits. Glad it is over. America West was just a nasty wart on the industry. Herpes is a better term.
9,

You can't be serious, right?

Maybe you thought there was another deal in the works to save the old US Airways, Project Zanzibar wasn't it?  Yah I saw Slimemanski slipped that into the filing.  RD musta been the source on that hot tip...

I'm sorry you thought AWA was 2nd rate, that simply displays your ignorance FWIW.  I have friends from all parts of US Airways.   AWA was a good airline.  We still like working with each other & do a great job, something like PSA. IMHO, still a lot good people on all sides of this.  The point is that no matter what, the reverse acquisition by AWA gave you a job where you wouldn't have had one like it or not.  AWA did what it needed to do to become what it is.

I'm proud to be a "new American" pilot.  Are you too, or are you just gonna roll in the slop of what was?

Who are you? The 737 on the west side has been long gone. The 190's have never been west. There are no 330 west crewmembers. Theoretically, the west 757 crews could fly an east 767 now.
Cheers.

"However, West’s claim that U.S. Airways emerged from
bankruptcy “only because it [was] acquired by a stronger enterprise”10 is reflected
neither in the KPMG audit report (cited by West)11 nor in any other portion of the
evidence. Instead, each carrier had something to contribute. Airways, for
example, was much larger. It served almost twice as many destinations as AWA
and carried twice the number of passengers.12 Airways has substantially more
cash on hand, following the merger agreement."

I am not in a contest, I am just adding facts to a discussion and backing it up.

Really? Can we move on to the next merger and leave ancient history where it belongs?

Not a contest, it's called Pickleball.

That's not what I posted. You are having difficulty relating to those junior to you. What was the fight over the Nic about in the first place?

Sorry. Looks like LOS would put the screws to many of the jr. west pilots if it is done as a three way. It would hurt many of the APA pilots as well as east pilots. DOH plus fences and no-one loses or gains anything. Hope it gets done in 90 days!

I was still the last pilot but due to retirements I did inch closer to the top of the list. Bottom line is that date of hire to retirement 39 yr. 8 mo. and los 36 years.

The bottom line is that after four years your seniority was the same, the last pilot on the seniority list.

Is your tractor black, is it a backhoe?

I am jealous of your tractor, I always wanted a backhoe.

The backhoe would have been nice but if you leave it on it takes up a lot of space in the barn and removing it in between the times you need it is a pain in the rear. Plus my wife wanted to learn to operate the tractor and she wanted a backhoe AND we have a cemetary about 50 ft from the garage....hmmm

I think you are right about west flying the 76. When I went through 75/76 training we were required to get some landings in the 76 but that might have changed. No big deal 1st landing flare too late...ouch, 2nd landing flare too high and drop in...ouch, 3rd landing....grease job.

All the best,

Bob
