Who are you? The 737 on the west side has been long gone. The 190's have never been west. There are no 330 west crewmembers. Theoretically, the west 757 crews could fly an east 767 now.
Cheers.
Yeah, it was a joke about how the new "metal neutral" is gonna allow the West crews to save all the East irregular operations. 😀

Bob Frear and Paul DiOrio sold out Steve Bradford to the West to get a recall for Hummel. What a low blow. Now they put a vote to the membership to change the voting at USAPA. Instead of being 3 out of 11, they want to give the West MORE voting power by making them a full 1/3 of the voting bloc. They also want to give the West Class a seat at the table in the dissolution of USAPA. Can you all believe this, letting the folks that have sued us for years have a say in the funding of our seniority battle after single carrier status!!?

True unthinking idiots, blinded by their petty political ambitions at a dying union. That pretty much sums up DiOrio and Fear. And don't get me started on Borman, supporting Cleary in his raid of our logo and theft of extra vacation.

Bob Frear recently told one of his F/O's that he could accept the NIC if he was compensated enough. Wow, thank goodness he QUIT the NAC after not being able to stomach DiOrio as his boss. Unbelievable! You cannot make this stuff up.

The West is having a field day, our own guys selling out the founder for silly political gain.

By the way, we are merging on Monday and you all are getting the single best improvement in your lifestye you have EVER had. I am getting a 60K year raise, and I am supposed to be upset over 10 days of vacation?  Really?  Vote accordingly, or vote for recall becase it "was not enough."

RR
Oh quit your whining, RR. You wanted change with throwing out ALPA, well you got it. What do have to show for it? Change, as in pocket change and LOA 93 under USAPA.

You keep the change, I'll give the APA my dollars for actual representation.

Tissue?

Sarcasm alerts, parenthetical remarks or emoticons work better than RR theorems when utilizing a text only means of communication (no visual or aural cues) 🙂

I guess in theory a west crew could fly the 767 on a domestic leg.   I am only aware of a select few domestic legs on the 76 anymore.   Since the west does not have any trans atlantic routes they would not have the required north atlantic training to do any Europe stuff.   If I remember correctly from my international days pacific and north atlantic are two different critters in the feds eyes due to tracks vs airways between atlantic and pacific.

Though according to the message there will be no mixing of routes just airplanes.   Since there are no west 767 routes I would think the company would have to be in a serious pinch to put a 767 on a 757 run.   However Hawaii might be a candidate for such a thing.

Today is the first day of the rest of our careers. What's done is done. Empty what is full, fill what is empty, scratch where it itches.

The subtly of sarcasm is like a fine wine it increases in value the longer it takes to get it.

The West pilots have not had differences training on the 767 or OE, so I don't think they can't fly the 767 yet. Could be wrong but I don't think so.

Now who's arguing just for the sake? Google career vs job and then answer me this. When you're done with this job, what will your career be? 🙂

330 crews are now interchangeable....

I wonder if the 76 can/will be crewed by a West 75 crew?

Are there any current west 73 crews? 190?
Interchangeable with what?

I think you are right about west flying the 76. When I went through 75/76 training we were required to get some landings in the 76 but that might have changed. No big deal 1st landing flare too late...ouch, 2nd landing flare too high and drop in...ouch, 3rd landing....grease job.

All the best,

Bob
Yep, nobody gets enough landings in the -67 to qualify as 'expert'. Personally, I would use the braille method or the 'captain's gasp' method.
Cheers.
