Obama Bows to Muslim King !

Earth to Delldude:

Al-Qaeda is not Islam, and does not represent Muslims.

The dead can't speak to differ with you there, so I'll just note all the global "condemnation" for the terrorists that's so far come in such a massive tsunami from the muslim world.....and it's truly been deafening, now hasn't it?

Heck..maybe you're really on to something here though. The world of islam just loves us all to death, and we must be reverently respectful and embrace any/all diversity. Guess I'm just wrong here. Sigh......In the proper spirit of global joy and universal acceptance; the next time your boy feels the need to bow, perhaps he can just do it directly to Osama.

You completely underestimate US capability. As for any reflection on my beliefs? = Marine stepson's been two tours thus far. Next BS?

Four years active duty and another eight years in the reserves I would say I have a fair idea on the US militaries capabilities.

Do I underestimate the 4000+ casualties in Iraq in the past six years? Care to tell me what you think the casualties would be if we were to start invading countries over there?

That history lesson about the first gulf war is all well and good but it’s also irrelevant. Someone earlier advocated the destruction of Mecca if there was a terrorist act in this country. All that Gulf War I crap can be thrown out the window if that were to happen. If you really think that countries like Egypt, Kuwait or Bahrain would allow themselves to be used as bases or transit points then you are living in a fantasy world.

Now lets say for the sake of argument we take the whole Mecca thing off the table. Which countries do you think the US would/should invade? Would we invade then get out or stick around? Then why don't you tell me what you think the casualties would be on our side?

Maybe some time when your not splitting hairs............you can ask the people whose relatives jumped to their deaths or were immolated in the WTC 9/11 or those who lost loved ones on the USS Cole or those whose sons and daughters were killed in the Khobar Towers or the many other attacks on innocent persons if we are at war with Islam...........

You're right.....no war with Islam here.

Call Dubya for me........

Dell, do you bother to read your own posts?

Here's a list from that list of terrorist acts that had nothing to do with Islamic extremists.

1920
Sept. 16, New York City: TNT bomb planted in unattended horse-drawn wagon exploded on Wall Street opposite House of Morgan, killing 35 people and injuring hundreds more. Bolshevist or anarchist terrorists believed responsible, but crime never solved.

1975
Jan. 24, New York City: bomb set off in historic Fraunces Tavern killed 4 and injured more than 50 people. Puerto Rican nationalist group (FALN) claimed responsibility, and police tied 13 other bombings to the group.

1995
April 19, Oklahoma City: car bomb exploded outside federal office building, collapsing wall and floors. 168 people were killed, including 19 children and 1 person who died in rescue effort. Over 220 buildings sustained damage. Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols later convicted in the antigovernment plot to avenge the Branch Davidian standoff in Waco, Tex., exactly 2 years earlier.

You could also make the argument that the 1988 bombing of Pan Am 103 had little to do with radical Islam. Very few would accuse Qadaffi of being a Muslim fanatic.

1) Although I had a "bit" longer tenure; I bow in respectful awe 😉 Very seriously though; Thanks for the service yourself.
2) Those perished while being forced into BS rules of engagement, and acting as "police" and yes, I largely find those casualties a disgusting waste, and things most certainly needn't have played out that way.
3) Irrelevant my arse. You assume zero memory within the arab world. As for: "allow themselves"? = I'd thought we were discussing a large scale and deadly serious, national military effort, in which case I believe it's you who's "living in a fantasy world"..

"Then why don't you tell me what you think the casualties would be on our side?" If done as it's been stupidily and purely politically practiced? = Countless and endless thousands...BUT..only that's entirely assuming that we keep doing the idiotic and utterly insane; "Now, Play Nice!!" approach to warfare of recent times.

I do NOT believe in EVER making war for political "fun". Killing other people in batch lots isn't my idea of entertainment, and should NEVER be engaged in, unless there's no viable alternate course of action. If and or when it's ever seen to be fully necessary to basically trash the heartlands of islamic terrorism and hatred for the west....it wouldn't go well for them at ALL. Allowing additional proliferation of nuclear weapons over there's completely insane, as are ANY trends towards subservient appeasement, which are ALWAYS seen as simple minded shows of weakness over there. We'll differ on what's likely to come of the current situation, and what's possible to actually do about it.

One thing's very certain...any more bowing ain't gonna' help things 😉

"We do not have a military large enough to do what you think we can." To serve as "police" = True.

That seems to contradict your earlier comment our forces could completely conquer and subjugate the entire middle east on a predictable timetable, .
To subjugate means to bring under control and governance as a subject , Which one can only conclude that you would have to leave behind forces in order to do this. So how many troops would be needed to do accomplish "subjugate" countries yet to be named?

Should they be continually employed as a "police presence"...with severe restrictions in the rules of engagement..as now, well..we'll continue to suffer losses...without equivalent gains.

How do you think the relative calm in Iraq was achieved recently? It was not done by carpet bombing places like Ramadi or going into towns guns blazing.

Islamic clerics teaching Islam to the illiterate masses who then go out and kill in the name of Allah sure as hell smells like war with Islam.

Wonder what Joe sixpack thinks of it when he watches the evening news......its all about perception.

Reid may be an even bigger piece of trash than Pelosi but it is neck and neck

First the bow..................now the handshake !

Question is, who's ### is he going to kiss first !

OMG, a hand shake and a bow..... What is the world coming to. The end is near ... the end is near...... run for your lives. ....

Hmmmm. guess my watch is off. The world is still turning on it's axis and the sun still rose in the east. Maybe tonight.

give them time these guys are pros "playing " the naive rookie

Perhaps. They played Bush like a cheap violin. Hopefully Obama will learn from Bush's mistakes.
