Now maybe I've had more experience with the FAA because I've been a chief pilot and check airman at a 121 carrier, but I've got news for you: 80% of the time the FO gets a slap and a letter, the captain gets far worse and basically loses his career. Do you guys have a clue about anything?

Bean
Impressive, yes you've got us all beat you and clearD, all that knowledge and no place or anyone to bestow it upon, what is an EASTIE OLE FART to do!

Wow, between you, the mighty chief pilot and Ames hanging out with Chuck Yeager we can see why you guys think you deserve to jump the line along with Move2Clt.

Let me guess, you're one of those 1500hr wonders hired by US Air that makes fun of Mesa captains. What happened to the 4 or 5, "easties," that used to post on here? You know, the ones that had their heads on there shoulders, where they should be. Let me guess, they're in upgrade school🙂

Well those pilots would never allow their CAPT responsibilities to be paid at F/O wages!

It's still in North Carolina, even if it doesn't even HAVE weather.
Hey Padre...hope your well! I was thinking about you the other day. I hope Sandy didn't affect you too bad. I figure if you post here God looked out for you.

Hope you have a great holiday.

Sometimes in the past maybe, but aviation law is always evolving.

So why aren't you still a chief pilot and check airman?

Would that be en "educated" guess or just a shot in the dark?

However, bazinga, you're right!

Well since I spent 6 years at a commuter as a captain and check airman, flying turboprops up north, I'd say say I'm not afraid of four stripes. Unlike the east, I do not find it acceptable to carry the responsibilities of being captain for FO pay. You guys are willingly siting on the worst contract in the industry just so you can grab four stripes? What, are you short of the 1000 121 PIC for the Southwest app?

Bean

Your many America West brothers flew captain for f/o rates for decades. Didn't bother you then did it? Everyone knows the contract you brag is so great is the first half decent contract you ever had. You act like you had it your entire careers. We know better.
