Leonidas butt kicked:

Wake Trial destroyed by 9th

Separate Ops

Cleary keeping Nicolau fended off, Silver affirms USAPA bargaining entity

Leonidas spends 2 million on unripe case

USAirways hiring begins, with retirements. Eastern group captures attrition

Parker affirms no western div. hiring in future

5 A 330 s being delivered before July

Leonidas attempts to negotiate with APA, told USAPA is the bargaining agent. APA pilots affirm the Nicolau Award is harmful to their pilots. Want nothing to do with it.

Ferguson and Leonidas tell furloughed western div pilots to pass on furlough recalls to eastern side. Shortly thereafter Parker and Horton begin merger preparations. Furloughed then told by Parker they are not coming back. Leonidas now liable in lawsuit.

Eastern div bid comes out with numerous upgrades, new hire projections in hundreds by crew planners.
Pretty much sums it up in simple terms for all to understand, I think.

Might be true, but a very nice raise from right seat to left seat wouldn't you agree Mr. Dave?
No.

$85 X 85 hours = $7225

$124 X 71 hours = $8804

That's a 22 % raise to be on reserve 19 days a month.

It doesn't take much to impress you.

You assume the boys won't get their time in which is possible but everyone is still upgrading and it is a raise for them, sorry but I don't hear anyone complaining. And they won't be on reserve to long either. I think you are just afraid to upgrade.

I had a retarted brother who passed away long ago, yet I don't share your sensitivity to the use of the word.

PS: It's you eastholes who have the entitlement mentality and you certainly can stick it where the sun don't shine. One other thing; I don't really care what an easthole thinks of me. You people are insignificant.

Well, at least your consistent about your feelings.........no matter who it involves

Got my 5 seconds of fame at Charlotte auto show last weekend with my youngest son.

What we all are thankful for.

Any thoughts on what your thankful for?

Well since I spent 6 years at a commuter as a captain and check airman, flying turboprops up north, I'd say say I'm not afraid of four stripes. Unlike the east, I do not find it acceptable to carry the responsibilities of being captain for FO pay. You guys are willingly siting on the worst contract in the industry just so you can grab four stripes? What, are you short of the 1000 121 PIC for the Southwest app?

I was a Metrojet and 320 Captain in 2001.

My quality of life is worth more $1600 a month (before taxes).

MM already corrected you. A junior C/O is more than likely (but not always) going to be an "S" reserve at 76 hours. And by the way, it is 72 hours, not 71 for an "R" reserve.Maybe if you quit looking through the window with your own "quality of life" issues (which you speak way too much about, just saying) you might see that a senior F/O living in CLT and going to C/O would not only realize a raise but might spend MANY more days at home. Some "raises" are not just money.Greeter

Wow, another $85 a month, maybe I should reconsider.

Sorry but I don't live in CLT and my life is my frame of reference.

If you want you want to be on call 19 days a month and fly 5 legs a day go for it.

The average short call captain on the A320 in CLT flew 25 to 30 hours in Oct. For Nov, the avg short call captain has around 20 hours so far. That means they are working no more than 8 days a month for an average of 77 to 78 hours of pay (76 guarantee, but deadheads pay above guarantee) So when you factor that in, the Short Call pilot that lives in base is home 22 days a month compared to your 13 days home a month and making $9,600 to your $7,225. Not to mention he or she doesn't have to drive 3 1/2 hours from ATL each way like you do. Hmmmmm....which one has the better quality of life???
