At least you said rumor. When you heard the rumor of a 7 years fence did they specifically say base or equipment?

A 7 year equipment fence makes more sense than a base fence.

Did republic/northwest get a base fence?


Do you think APA is more concerned about protecting who flys their 125 WB or what base you fly out of?

Besides you guys are convinced you will get DOH with American. Wy would you want a base fence?

Do you really want a base fence? What prevents Parker from moving all the WB out of east bases to AA bases? Can't follow them because of the fence.

What you fail to acknowledge. Neither the majority or minority dictated anything to any side. Both sides followed a process and a neutral third party arbitrator decided the seniority list.

If the east is allowed to ignore arbitration and decide (dictate) a seniority list the entire system will be thrown into chaos. Ask yourself. Do you want to go into a merger with American if they can tell you what the seniority list is going to be?

I got no problem with Parker getting booted. OK if it is Horton or some other CEO. Same question if you are fenced in for 7 years and the new un named CEO takes all the WB out of east bases and shifts them to AA bases do you still want a 7 years base fence or would you want an equipment fence so no matter where the planes go you go with them?

But if you can't unemotionally look at and understand the point of ignoring or breaking binding arbitration you are a lost cause.

Remove yourself from our situation and imagine two other airlines merging. Airlines are never equal in size. What will happen to mergers if the larger airline always dictates what the seniority list is? Would any smaller airline ever agree to or go along with a merger. The smaller airline would tank the merger every chance they could. Even up to wrecking the airline. What would you have to loss?

Without a process or arbitration chaos would be the order of the day.

Try and think beyond out situation.
