OCT/NOV 2012 US Pilots Labor Discussion

I can discuss the book...because I read the book.

If Ames comes out and actually tells us how he knows Yeager, ( you said something about flying him once "in the back") you will likely look like an idiot.

1) Good for you. I once read one on knitting, but couldn't in my wildest dreams even imagine making so much as a sweater...and very much doubt those accomplished at the art would care for my ignorant input.

2) I never said that, nor do I the least bit care how he supposedly knows the man. He's free to assert "greatness-by-association" if he feels the need. Find a mirror if you've need of an "idiot"s mug shot.

"No spineless bloviating..." Ok, but you'll have to excuse my lack of the universal arrogance so well evidenced by yourself and your fellows here.

"Do you or do you not think that you could successfully land your a/c on a calm Hudson river, largely bereft of marine traffic on a cold day in January, or wherever?" I'd like to think and hope so, but I'd certainly offer up a fast, fervent and hopeful prayer for all aboard first, knowing that either providence or dame fortune must be there for it to come off at all well. Do you even have the slightest idea of how quickly and easily cargo category aircraft can break apart, tumble/cartwheel/etc during such a thing? Even that aircraft had an engine ripped off, and all were very fortunate to have that be the main extent of the damage. What if the wing had also? Must I suppose that any aircraft you would fly would, by magic and ego of course, be impervious to more substantial, random damage?

"It's a yes or no answer." Only to arrogant fools.

Thanks! you just won me a beer...

Well said sir. I must also register disbelief that anyone would try or even want to defend that.
You might try and understand the meaning of the word instead of your narrow view.

Definition: Rape
Part of Speech Definition
Noun 1. Eurasian plant cultivated for its seed and as a forage crop.[Wordnet]
2. The act of despoiling a country in warfare.[Wordnet]
3. The crime of forcing a woman to submit to sexual intercourse against her will.[Wordnet]
4. Fruit, as grapes, plucked from the cluster.[Websters]
5. The refuse stems and skins of grapes or raisins from which the must has been expressed in wine making.[Websters]
6. A filter containing the above refuse, used in clarifying and perfecting malt, vinegar, etc.[Websters]
7. The act of seizing and carrying away by force; violent seizure; robbery.[Websters]
8. Sexual connection with a woman without her consent.[Websters]
9. That which is snatched away.[Websters]
10. Movement, as in snatching; haste; hurry.[Websters]
11. One of six divisions of the county of Sussex, England, intermediate between a hundred and a shire.[Websters]
12. A name given to a variety or to varieties of a plant of the turnip kind, grown for seeds and herbage. The seeds are used for the production of rape oil, and to a limited extent for the food of cage birds.[Websters].
Verb 1. Force (someone) to have sex against their will; "The woman was raped on her way home at night".[Wordnet]
2. Destroy and strip of its possession; "The soldiers raped the beautiful country".[Wordnet]
3. To commit rape upon; to ravish.[Websters]
4. To rob; to pillage.[Websters]
5. Base verb from the following inflections: raping, raped, rapes, rapist, rapists, rapingly and rapedly.[Eve - graph theoretic]

The other definition is to steal, rob or snatch what does not belong to you. Exactly what usapa is trying to do to the west. Besides, how is raping the land a sexual act? Open your tiny mind.

No problem and I'm happy for your good fortune. Now then: "Do you or do you not think that you could successfully land your a/c on a calm Hudson river, largely bereft of marine traffic on a cold day in January, or wherever?"

Go ahead and make it a yes or no answer and you'll win me a whole case. 😉

What about that music where they just say lots of words to a beat and no musical notes?

Just read the update from yesterday. The west reps attempted a recall of Hummel, it failed the BPR vote.

reasons were severla but based mainly on the lackof USAPA using the NIC. Only reason I can see for something like that is they figure there is little to no chance of a NIC happening unless USAPA themselves do it.

Though they had to know that a recall vote was not going to happen, so it also looks like lots of political posturing. Probably trying to come up with anything that they might can use in court at a later date to try a last ditch effort at the NIC.

However not having been at the meeting this is just speculation on my part as to the reason. it does sound like they are not confident in a DFR working for them.

"last ditch effort at the NIC"

you are more clueless than the average usapian.

We have 30 days from Oct 11 to see if the company will appeal Silver and keep you on LOA93 another two years. The recall attempt looked to be a means to highlight that usapa is perfectly content remaining on LOA93 and failing its DFR to the membership.

If the company does not appeal I do not know if the West will or not, best guess is not, depending on the NMB's response to usapa's request to return to negotiations.

You have way too much time on your hands....why don't you go down to a shelter and volunteer or something?

Really! Do you seriously think the at this point the west does not have more than enough evidence for DFR II? We had way more than enough for DFR I and we did not use all of it. Cleary handed us a shipping container worth of more DFR evidence. Usapa almost Dailey gives us more. We have no need to generate more evidence of usapa failing to represent the wet fairly.

Thats the point I was making. IF anybody appeals west or the company it goes on another 2 years. In theory that takes us to an AA merger and there is very good chance that an AA deal would wipe NIC out. AA deal negates current T/A etc which makes it go 3 way. (I know there is lots of contention between sides on this and the ultimate end result is not certian either way)

now if aa thing does not go thru there is another 2 years at least fighting on this deal while parker continues to hire on the east and as he stated in the town hall, "there is no movement on the west in 2013, nor recalls"

Just from looking at the events happening unless the east and west can come to some middle ground that is not the nic and not straight DOH with no protections the west will stagnate while the east has movement from their retires.

I would say the best the west can hope for if they continue the "NIC or nothing " stance is they will either A- Sit exactly where they are for the next 2 years at least, probably more in a stand alone scenario. Or B- maybe cause an AA merger integration to grind to a halt at the SLI stage and while probably we all end up on one payscale it may still be 3 lists flying under one name.

I don't think parker cares which. In fact parker probably prefers option A in stand alone scenario. Option B probably not as much but I don't see him allowing the AOL contingent to derail his AA deal.

In the end I think the west can only hurt themselves by continuing with the "NIC or nothing" but that is just my opinion.

Move2clt? Said Parker appealed. Obviously not. You see your company counsel is in much better legal strata than the ambulance chaser and his gullible client. That would be Harper and Leonidas.
The wheels are falling off the NICOLAU gravy train. One by one. The entire mess will be wrapped up soon.

I am not trying to discredit Sully's flying achievements.....I am calling into question his ideas regarding "integrity".

Let's examine that, shall we? Your notions of "integrity" extend to wanting to see a 3 month/new-hire placed permanently ahead of a person with 17 years continuous service...based purely on "expectations" and a "snapshot in time"...? Do I have that right...? Ok then. Captain Sullenberger made two trips down the aisle of a slowly (but who then knew?) sinking aircraft to ensure none were still aboard. He afterwards found his worst fears were that some person(s) might, just possibly, have been lost and not yet accounted for....and your big concern here is that he didn't much care for your greed-soaked, nic fantasies in some courtroom? I see.

Seriously: Who tha' heck are you to even be talking about his integrity?...Or even integrity in general? It's noted that you've no apparent objection to one of your precious and precocious own lying his arse off here. Why don't you start your holy crusade to ensure universal "integrity" by first addressing that?

No they will not waste their time, it's over. There you go again with the LOA93 thing, try to come up with something new. AWA Pilot Contract: The 30 Year Prototype of LOA 93 ......... luv this one, ain't it the truth.

If it is over why is usapa begging the west to negotiate?

Just get it done. You guys wanted to be the union, you are in charge you have the responsibility and you say silver gave you the right. Get to it.

Stop begging. Stop trying to get the west to help you murder us just do it.

Submit a list and your legitimate union purpose and let the legal results happen. I can't wait to hear Parker reaction to your list.

Submit it it already if its over. Oh it is just a proposal. It's not quite over yet.
