Philly employees not welcome

PHL may be the # 1 generating station but if the hassel
and the misconnect problems with ATC delays will and has
turned passengers off when it comes to PHL. The airport and facility does not have the capablity to do what US wants to do there and deliver a good product and experience to passengers!!

The Hanger is located right near the employee parking lot where ALL PHL employees park.

I am just saying it is large enough to hold a A330 as the CLT line hanger can not fully hold a A330 as the tail has to be kept outside.

Gee, how can you talk about management like that? LOL.

Look around they cant hire enough in PHL and look at what was hired in the past year.

PHL has never been given the resources needed to operate efficiently.

I assume that the town hall is being held at the B6 Crew room because it's accessible. Yea, it's not that big, but with a situation like Philly, you have to try and touch base with as many employees as possible, including ramp and inflight. In most cases, line employees do not typically make "special trips" to a town hall location. The operation must continute, people will be in and out and you have to give them credit for having this right near the ramp, where i'm sure they expect to have multiple visitors from.

I attended one of Parker's sessions and overall it was good. I still have my concerns with the new management that he brought in from the old usair. I have heard bad things about al crellin and jerry glass.

Hey hawk..if you don't mind me asking..what labor group are you part of with the company? i read some of your old posts and you appear to be very pro-management.

Tough town is an excuse. IGNORANT town would best decribe that hell hole!!

The job of DP is NOT to win the workforce. THAT is the problem. There is a small group of maffia acting idiots that have taken control of that operation. If it means shutting the place down for a week, every trouble maker should be escorted out the door by police and told never to return or they will be arrested for trespassing. There should be security in the parking lot to keep these thugs from acting further like low lifes, and tell the unions if they don't like it, tough..file your little grievence and we'll see you in court. AND have the rest of the hard working employees to testify against them so they don't get their jobs back. More importantly, the unions should tell these "people" to leave and never return. These people are BEYOND help.

DP's JOB is to make sure we have what we need to run a class act in PHL. AND the mamagement team in PHILLY needs to have the balls to truely sit down with upper management and DP himself and say what they need and it be done.

I think everyone has concerns about some of the management that was brought in from US East, however it would have been a really bad move to take on US East with no knowledge, background, experience and try to sort through things. Crellin brings a great deal of knowledge, experience and value to the table, slthough it may not have been a prefect term of service for US East, you need to give him a chance under the leadership of a different thought process and if he doesn't adapt to the philsophies and performance as expected, I'm sure he will be asked to leave. Give him a chance with the new company.

As far as Hawk being pro-management...what does that mean? If you're an employee for a company you should do you best to support your management until they have proven to be incompetent and failed the company. This idea that a employee is "pro-management" indicates that you can't suppport unions and management at the same time. BS!

Maybe he wants to get up close and personal with yous guys. and will probably have more than one meeting. You will be impressed and inspired

...One of the tried and true ways to boost morale is to let the employees vent.

Amen. Used it myself.

You know that you have almost allowed enough venting when some members of the crowd who are initially sympathetic to the venting start to actually call for venting to cease and to be professionals. After a few minutes longer you as the leader come to the defense of the biggest venters and express your concern about their legitimate beefs and then the crowd starts to simmer down and everyone goes back to work with a new vigor thinking that their problems are now being addressed. People are so eager to be convinced that they hear what they wanted to hear.

Austin Powers used it with great success after Wolf set us all up to really be ready to "want to hear."

But when I used it I was sincerely listening, told them that I would do what I could, and I didn't go back to my ivory tower. I stayed there in the trenches with them.

We shall see if the new mgt is any different from Austin Powers.

Cheers, :cop:

A very good observation. Jerry Glass held a similar meeting in PHL with the IAM group. It was very successful. It allowed more of an interaction with the employees. Doug is making every effort to hear the concerns of each employee with these meetings. USEAST should appreciate this effort and not take a negative tone.

With Jerry Glass? Successful?

Yeah? ...for who.

My response to you from an earlier thread stands:

or better yet, figure out a way to have them terminated.

"Cactus"--appropriate name for a prick. You and your corporate 'fishing' buddy are much too transparent.

UNREAL! Im guessing your a member of the PHL "gang"..you know the group of bitter PHL employees who do nothing but #### and moan all day. My god....Doug is doing what no other CEO at US has ever done, and that is come and talk to the front line employees all over the system. You guys seem to find anything to complain about.

How much of this have you been drinking?
