Philly employees not welcome

The depth of the venom in this thread toward PHL employees is amazing. Have all of you personally had such bad experiences dealing with them?

YES!! The percentage of capable employees is probably around 75. The other 25% make everyone's life a living hell and hide behind their union dues. AND the most useless managers with NO balls.

Also, the PHL airport authority, or whatever they call themselves, places all the financial responibility on the airlines to keep up their facilities. What a joke of a place to do business.

I would LOVE to see how much money we REALLY make as compared to what we piss away with all the bullsh#t.

There are two areas in B-6. The sleeping room with the partition wall must be where they will conduct the meeting. Its much larger than the crew room don't you agree. Take the partition wall down and its ample. Especially if he's planning several meetings. Its controllable.

As a PSA transplant Philly has treated us awesome unlike some other groups. They are up front, honest and careing folks. You always know where you stand with them. As you say about DP give Philly a chance.

Will this meeting be web cast or taped for everyones enjoyment.I know the list of questions is growing by the moment.

You and your corporate 'fishing' buddy are much too transparent.

My statement from another thread stands: "You assume to much. I agree to disagree with you. Can or will you." Look mlt, why are you making this a personal battle by name calling? I'm not corporate...funny that you think that...is it because I like our new leadership? Granted when I first started posting I was alot more enthusiastic then I am currently, but I stand behind my support for DP, Jeff Mcelland and Scott Kirby. I and many employees think they are the real deal based on what they were able to do at HP. Their record speakes for itself. Let's wait and see what they can do with US.

Tough town is an excuse. IGNORANT town would best decribe that hell hole!!

The job of DP is NOT to win the workforce. THAT is the problem. There is a small group of maffia acting idiots that have taken control of that operation. If it means shutting the place down for a week, every trouble maker should be escorted out the door by police and told never to return or they will be arrested for trespassing. There should be security in the parking lot to keep these thugs from acting further like low lifes, and tell the unions if they don't like it, tough..file your little grievence and we'll see you in court. AND have the rest of the hard working employees to testify against them so they don't get their jobs back. More importantly, the unions should tell these "people" to leave and never return. These people are BEYOND help.

DP's JOB is to make sure we have what we need to run a class act in PHL. AND the mamagement team in PHILLY needs to have the balls to truely sit down with upper management and DP himself and say what they need and it be done.

It sounds like you had hard time in PHL. Since you were the only one insulting the workers there to admit having experienced personally being treated babdly, do you care to explain what happened?

Wow.....we need to install a "vent" fan to remove some of the heat produced on this thread.

This is actually good to read some of the complaints and get a different view of the situation. I had heard that there was much animosity between many of the groups/stations/hubs, but I had no idea until I came to this board how much there was. :)

Who would decide who the trouble makers are? If someone said that you were a "trouble maker" could you accept that and just leave the property never to return? I doubt that you would leave without a fight and you don't believe that you are a trouble maker. You seem to be a fighter. Good. :)

It would be great if we could redirect all the "fighter" energy on this board to making our jobs more secure by making the company a success. That would be good for all concerned. :)

Interesting that you this, because I have not personally dealt with the people on the ramp to any extent. The ramp personell seem to be the target of most of the venom on here. I pretty much figured that these boards are #### boards for the most part and take it with a grain of salt. However..after having just spent some time with passengers, fight attendants and gate agents in Philly, I was amazed how the "attitude" from the ground personnel is well known. Flight Attendants say things like "we just know when we come to Philly what to expect", passengers simply..."it's philly, thats the way it is here". Gate agents just shake their heads sometimes. So the board is conveying what could truly be a problem there, but probably to more of an extreme than what it really may be.

Incidentally..my experience with philly employees has always been extremely positive, with a few kinks here and there, but overall..very pleased with gate, FA's, pilots.

Ok listen here junior (read:all HP employees)...when you come to (read:get bumped to) PHL try venting (read:whining) like this. You will see the swift hand of PHL (read:the greatest place on earth) come up about your chin. Now I dont come on here insulting your city and its workforce and I would like it if you wouldnt do it either. (read:shut the #### up).

Not sure if you noticed but most of the people venting about PHL are US employees, not HP.

Very good example of an irate PHL employee?

All you would need is one or two of these people per shift and everyone would be PHL happy. :)

I enjoy the irony of the post. From the city where liberty was born comes a statement that if you disagree with the guy or say something he doesn't like, he will perform an act of violence against the offending party. Classy. Must be a real tough guy.

One guy was so rude and obnoxious I didn't even complain to Consumer Affairs. I figured that anyone that miserable didn't need anymore grief. Funny thing is I still see him in the airport. Same sour expression, same surly attitude. Fortunately I've not had the "pleasure" of having to transact any business with this "gentleman". But he is the poster boy for the 20 percent I refer to and it's a shame that people like him drag down the whole organization and the publics perception

Ironic huh? Hes still there giving out his brand of PHL welcome because he was so rude and obnoxious that you didnt want to give him any more grief? Exactly the kind of person who remains because no one takes the time to let those in charge know whats going on. How many others have had the pleasure of dealing with this guy and shrugged him off only to let him (and those like him) drag down the whole organization and the publics perception?
Borrowing on a quote from one of my fav commercials... "Just write it Bob".
