The East RSV's are allowed to commute as well, however you have to be in base while you are on duty. It is the same thing out in the West the difference being that RSV's are not on call for 24 hours at a time. I would caution anyone on the East NOT to even consider the West RSV system as there are MANY loopholes and RSV's are mistreated. I know many RSV's on the East think the RSV system is bad but the grass isn't always greener. Anyway back to the matter at hand, I say as a punishment Ms. Atkins should be sentenced to RSV for a period of FOREVER.You guys need to change your contract language. The reserves in the WEST are allowed to commute as long as they allow themselves with 2 commutable and back up flights.
Our reserves in Vegas are also allowed to pick up trips in Phoenix. I'm a block holder in phoenix and have a lot of reserve friends and understand their dilemma. I also know that we have junior block holders who are concerned about going back on reserve. I say , call your AFA reps and West Phoenix AFA66 negotiators and demand that they include rotating reserves in the joint contract ~
