The company cuts jobs.
The supposed union members attack each other.
The company cuts jobs.
The active union members educate each other.

If anything can be learned from this I just wish that maybe some of you would actually listen to some of the
veterans of this industry . and quite thinking we are trying to bully you around . We told you this was going to happen and it has . this ain't our first rodeo. So now this is the bed the membership voted on and ratified so live with it.
Dog,
before you start flaming . I will not be attacking anyone else. But for the love of G*d . the Hypocrisy of some is sometimes just to much to stand by and let go.
that is all .
How bout them O's ...![]()
there's always next year or maybe the next or probably not.
The active union members educate each other.
I don't participate in the union because it creeps me out the same way religion does.
Obey
Collect
Preach
Shun non-believers

It's funny, thinking back on it now, but this is the first job I've ever had where all of my hard work, extra effort, attentiveness, and job skills have amounted to exactly jack squat. Here mediocrity is rewarded just the same as magnificence. Sorry, I'm not that interested in getting that ol' time UNIONISM in me if it means participating in a group that forces stagnation upon itself and then claims, in the name of the working man and the middle class, that it's being attacked and oppressed.
Coincidentally, I'm an IAM union member (no choice) and I also happen to work fleet service.Now... let’s review the content of the posts in this thread, both present and past. I have been in and out of this forum for over one year. The reason I gravitate to this thread is simple... I am an IAM Union Member who works in Fleet Service!
I'm not denouncing unionism, and I'm not anti-union, though you'd happily brand me as such just because I don't fall in line and take the party position. I've stated on here previously that I'm glad I'm in a union shop and that I greatly appreciate and respect the efforts and volunteerism of our front-line union leaders here in PHX. The same goes for those of you here that hold stewardship or other positions within the union that have you in daily contact with the membership and their concerns; it's commendable that your beliefs have you so motivated...Now... for the most perplexing segment of this little experiment! I have observed another pattern! WHY do certain posters whom have repeatedly denounced the IAM and Unionism as a whole come into this forum? Perhaps some of you guys will be willing to answer this question in a concise, truthful, and candid revelation for all to read here in this open arena!
Good question. Nowhere in the Subject heading of this thread does it indicate that this is a necessarily "pro-union" or "pro-IAM" thread. Not all of the topics discussed here involve the union at all. Should these also be omitted? Let's be frank with ourselves and admit that one of the little joys of coming here is getting ourselves riled up at what the idiots on the other side are actually thinking. Can we do that?So... here goes... I ask why? WHY do you bother to spend your valuable time to enter an Organized Labor thread, read the posts, and respond to them when you do not believe in, or practice Unionism? Wouldn’t it be better if you created your own forum? Something like...†Fleet Workers Against The IAM†or... “Airline Employees Against Organized Labor Or... even better yet.. why not seek employment in a non-union sector?
To date, none of the moderators have had any contention with the attitudes, ideas, or suggestions I've yet posted in any of the IAM Fleet Service threads. Maybe you can take this up with them? That way... you could trade anti-union posts, and denounce all things related to Organized Labor with each other! Instead... you choose to come here... a flagged organized labor thread for Airline Employees time... and time again!
What exactly is it you want me to tell you here? That I'm some kind of management goon sitting in a cubicle in Tempe craftily plotting the downfall of the IAM by perpetuating petty, idiotic arguments on the internet? Or maybe you can enlighten me, since you're so sure you know? If you think you've got me figured out I'd invite you to take a crack at it just so I can see how well you can correctly guess the wacky series of events that landed my boots on the ground in PHX.Can you explain this phenomenon? I’m pretty sure that I can... and you know the answer as well as me!
Verily they are, but this table sits upon the deck of a sinking ship. In a number of months all this discussion may be very moot indeed...P.S. This is not an “attack†as I have been accused of in previous responses... this is to ferret out friend from foe! Ante up boys... tha cards are ontha table!!
You are no doubt pro management and if not should be related to The east people of fleet service are career minded in this industrie. We simply need all to be one. With the cancer you preach you and your kind create the walls of division that do nothing but divide the membership and weaken the majority! Find a cob that suits your misfit ideas and join the darkside!!!! I promise you will have to PAY!![]()
Mmm...pour me some of that good stuff...![]()

For sure Clt & PHL openings...."Doing it on my knees" I hope you are ready to come to Clt.
Oh you know it! I'm on vacation right now. The headchopping meeting in ICT is July 21. I get back there on the 23rd and fill out my bid packet for CLT. I feel terrible for my co-workers, but being that CLT was one of the stations open to bid into, this really works in my favor. I can be in CLT as early as SEPT.
