US Pilot Labor Thread

Its real simple....if you want west participation you need to change your c&bl's and give the west fair voting rights for the largest base in the system. Oh, that brings us right back to where we were before...ALPA. If all things all equal then we can begin to negotiate something that works for all of us, and thats not date of hire. Stop telling us to participate until things are equal....that goes for all you east guys....thats the moot point.

Least, we don't need to change a thing. ALPA is gone. If you don't want to participate, fine. But if you don't pay agency fee, you'll be terminated. I just talked to CLT. Not many west joining, but agency fees are pouring in. Amazing what certified letters did for the USAPA bank account. All the more money to fight your DFR. We're not "telling" you to participate. I don't care. But if you don't participate, don't whine on this board about having no input.

As far as the jumpseat thing goes....would you let a pilot from another airline that had a lawsuit filed agaist your pilots ride on your jumpseat? Stop wasting money and tell your BPR to drop this nonsense. Why would we want to particiapte in this union????????????

Last I checked we worked for the same company. All union politics should stop at the cockpit door. You got a problem with that? snoop

I was in the CP office today and a pilot was asking about the dues situation.

The C.P said, "We have never terminated a pilot over non-payment of dues." (his emphasis.) The other pilot continued to press and the C.P interrupted him and said,
"Hint, N e v e r."

FWIW.

Good to know. I am sure the AFL-CIO, Teamsters, CWA and ALPA for that matter will be pleased with the precedent. I'm sure they will all see it as a good day for Organized Labor.

"The east boys are justified in drooling over west furloughs ...."

Show me where anyone out here is "drooling over west furloughs".... Unbelievable. That sounds more like a clear projection of your own thought processes to me. Do you think it's a source of joy to see any people being put through such a nightmare? Grow up. We've seen this before on a scale you can't even imagine, and are again seeing this miserable scenario out east as well. Frankly; the only "drooling" I've yet seen comes entirely from your bunch....and I'll spare the abundant quotes this time, as furloughs are nothing to make light of.

I won't even ask just how much deep empathy and concern you have for your "fellow pilots" out east facing furloughs as well.......

Well said, East. I know two West pilots from our old USAir days. I flew with one during my 10 months in the left seat. That was before 75% of west pilots were hired. He left here for greener pastures out west while on furlough. The other ended up recalled to West. Both are being furloughed. I've talked to them. One's already got an overseas job. The other's headed back to a regional. Neither one is whining about the furloughs being unfair, but both are ticked off at their fellow west pilots. With furlough notices already out, west pilots are picking up to their max 99 hours and not dropping.

For all the west pilots facing furlough, this is their first. Except for our new-hires, all ours have been furloughed before. Fairness is relative. snoop

"Not many west joining, but agency fees are pouring in. Amazing what certified letters did for the USAPA bank account."

This is lies and propaganda....not one west pilot to my knowledge has received a certified letter.

Apparently she/he may have a habit of that. Look at the above statement. At worst an outright lie or at best completely ignorant of his/her fellow pilots. They just assume the AWA pilots are just a bunch of "rookie pilots". After all that is what AG told the press.

You're a pompous, arrogant [equine gluteus maximus].

I have NEVER lied on this board. You can kiss my @$$!

Now, don't let the door hit you on your way out! See you when you get stapled upon your return!

There! Well worth a wek or two off!

Glad I never burn my bridges!

One example of east drooling over west furloughs....

Indeed, LOS, length of service, a down counter from DOH, date of hire, all positions with "conditions and restrictions" that guarantee that no one is downgraded from what they have.

Based on SEC filings, the east should have stapled the HP pilots but they relented with DOH, countered with LOS, both with conditions and restrictions.

At this point, let the west pilots endure the furloughs they brought onto themselves, with mostly leisure travel yielding basically nothing, that should result in about a 90% furlough out west, then offer a merge, a practice merging with UAL.

Yet another example of east glee over west furloughs....

Jim,

Looks as if you and Tazz are taking the pages out of Nostro's playbook!

You do what you gotta do when some pompous windbag tells you to grow up while denying the facts.

More facts to face...

USAPA has held off sending those cherished "fire them" letters you all are drooling over because they have yet to prove germain expenses for those of us objecting. Therefore, I doubt very much that money is pouring in.

Lies, deciet, innuendo... it's alpa all over again, just on a smaller scale.

Eastus, being that I have clearly proven my statement correct, with the help of Boeingboy, please prove yours stating that the drooling is being done on the west. Just one example. Just one, oh pompous windbag.

beg to differ. This is my 3rd furlough and virtually all my classmates (minus the AF guy) have been furloughed at least once and one had five furloughs.
