US Pilots Labor Discussion

Another winning crew news. What's up with East pilots and their obsession with Mustaches? Couldn't help but laugh out loud at the Mustachioed Hillbilly begging Doug Parker to fire the AOL guys. Pathetic...especially since this guy obviously struggles with an ability to read.

Suggestion Hillbilly: Spend more time at the gym than you do tending to your sweet Tom Sellacky Mustache.

BTW, I hear the AOL guys are thoroughly enjoying their months long paid vacation. Thanks for the concern.

When the individual's hierarchy of needs is best served by a certain course, then that will be chosen by the individual.

I can agree with that, but sometimes events get set into motion that become almost unstoppable. That's where I see is now, not ABLE to put the genie in the bottle and having to wait and see it play out, then live with the unquestionable cost of that path.

I feel certain that in your heart you KNOW you will win on the Nic. I have several friends on the east that KNOW in there heart USAPA will prevail on the Nic. Someone is wrong, the problem is that the real answer in not clear enough to make the required majority move and the cost of this battle just keeps going up and will be paid by us all for the rest of our careers. We just have to let it play out.

Do you remember the title that was under? I thought I watched it all and don't remember that and I sure don't want to watch it all again. Thanks.

It was about cameras in the crew rooms. Pilots session.

He starts off asking why there are cameras being installed in CLT. Then when informed that PHL and PHX already have cameras, and that there has been theft issues, he goes in what seems to be a pre-planned direction of is theft a termination offense, and is the company firing AOL members for the alleged identity theft. He keeps pushing it, because he has already concluded guilt and he wants these guys fired. True usapa scumbag, and on camera no less.

He'll be right behind PHX's own poncho wearing "Jabba the Hut" signing up at LA Fitness.

Magnum PI, one of my favorite shows. The original Hawaii Five-O, even better. Man if I only had a head of hair like Steve McGarrett (Jack Lord)!

We just have to let it play out.

The problem is Cleary doesn't have the stones to simply "let it play out".

USAPA has fought tooth an nail for YEARS to keep this from playing out. USAPA doesn't WANT an answer to all of this.

WHY?

One other thing about the crewnews guy wanting people fired.

He did not like the fact that EF is on PAID administrative leave.

I guess it bothers him that not only does the West get way more vacation, EF is going to get around 16 weeks vacation this year.

If I were the company, I would seek reimbursement from usapa for Eric's pay, via usapa's FPL rules, being Eric is the West rep and all.

My point is this: At what point during the FRUITLESS paper chase to DOH will a majority of you realize that you will NEVER recover the money that is presently being LOST. Will you collectively all hold tight to that GOLD STANDARD to the very end, when a judge (again) tells you that FINAL is FINAL and BINDING is BINDING?

If this place "Titanics", it won't be because of the pilots. Good luck with a job search, a lot of pilots before you found it not so easy, despite a lot of time and experience in the books. The experience we are going through right now is not the kind an employer is looking for.

My guess is that the answer to your question is that will happen when the majority of pilots, that have decided to play and not just take their ball and go home(alpa loyalists that sit on the side and snipe but take no action), have enough evidence to show that is truly the case. You think that is now, they don't, hence no storming of the USAPA HQ.

As far as reformusapa.com goes, in my case, when you don't trust one of the principle founders of it, it's hard to trust the message.

Thanks, I didn't watch that whole part.

My guess: A bunch of lawyers are telling both sides what they want to hear, and neither side is thinking about the long term ramifications. If they are, they feel the risk/reward is in their favor and is a better alternative than giving up.

You will inherit the airline. You are losing some money that you will never get back. You are keeping people on the street and out of east bases. Why don't you just give up? I'm guessing for all the above reasons.

That's exactly where we're at, courtesy of the Koward Klan who four years ago sold enough East pilots on a hail mary plan that in reality had a very small chance to succeed. In so doing, the Koward Klan made this an all-or-nothing contest. The West bore the brunt for the first couple of years with lawsuits from the "union" run by the Koward Klan, slanderous statements, libel, harassment, Section 29s, tabled West grievances . . . everything was aimed at the West. Despite how nasty it's been for the West, it's still more tolerable for the West than the East, and I'd suspect that the reason is because the individual interests of each West pilot is still being met by funding the defense to the Koward Klan's attacks. Three and a half years have proven very successful for the West pilots. The flipside is not true. Needs are not being met on the East, and just wait until LOA93 is released. Game. Set. Match.

I feel certain that in your heart you KNOW you will win on the Nic.
See above. Not because the West is right (although we are on principle), but that it's now a contest of individual needs. USAPA has made it worth the Wests' while to stay together and fight.

I have several friends on the east that KNOW in there heart USAPA will prevail on the Nic.
Then they'd better get busy shoring up support on the East. Feeling that the Nic is bad doesn't do much for a 58 year old who is already a captain.

Someone is wrong, the problem is that the real answer in not clear enough to make the required majority move and the cost of this battle just keeps going up and will be paid by us all for the rest of our careers. We just have to let it play out.
It is playing out. Some have more time than others is all.

Kind of like you guys with Ahern ? hmmmm. Btw, how did E F depo go ?

You have 3 very senior east captains on here and 2 out of 3 back USAPA. Do you ever notice that? Many of the very senior realize that no matter what happens they will not see a contract prior to their retirement, so they don't worry too much about it.

Some of us on the east have a lot of years left, and long memories.

The bottom line is nobody at USAPA wants to hear an answer. Delay is all they can achieve.

BTW, I won't be inheriting your miserable airline, I'm not losing any money, (FO making more than your capts), I have no control of who is on the streets and have zero interest in moving to the East coast.

Back to cb53's Titanic comment. Do you guys ever look at the PHX numbers on US Daily? The are awful for a place that has such loyal employees and no weather. What's up with that? Then again I just watched David B. tell our COO that nobody over there cares when they leave or when they get there. HMMM.................
