Ok. Your hierarchy of needs are being met via status quo. Can you speak for every East captain? Who knows. All I'm saying is that I have a hard time believing that a plan which was sold on DOH + Quick Contract, but neither has materialized in coming up on four years, that it's nevertheless business as usual for USAPA to maintain the same level of support as they had in April of 2008. Something is probably going to give, and the legal reality is that USAPA has removed the middle ground permanently from the equation.
 
The bottom line is nobody at USAPA wants to hear an answer. Delay is all they can achieve.

BTW, I won't be inheriting your miserable airline, I'm not losing any money, (FO making more than your capts), I have no control of who is on the streets and have zero interest in moving to the East coast.

Oh, I forgot, you don't work for us. Is it you wife/husband, partner, brother, Mom, Dad, cousin or who that concerns you? Never mind, I know you won't tell. Integrity and all that.

What you fail to accept is that many, I think most, didn't buy what you think was being sold. For a variety of reasons the majority wanted to get rid of ALPA and USAPA was the way to do it.

The LOA 93 decision may change things, but I don't think so. I don't think anything we can currently see will.

I guess everyone that stays here has their hierarchy of needs met, at least enough to keep them from leaving.

You're a part of the leadership, so why ask a question you already know the answer to?

So, are you going to be deposing the East pilots who are being questioned as well, or are you going to just keep your discriminatory tactics in the "blatant" category?
 
You have 3 very senior east captains on here and 2 out of 3 back USAPA. Do you ever notice that? Many of the very senior realize that no matter what happens they will not see a contract prior to their retirement, so they don't worry too much about it.

Some of us on the east have a lot of years left, and long memories.
PI- notice you and others on east are being called some rather interesting things. Koward, Coward, Maggot, Scab, Yellow Coward, lacking integrity, FUKS. All very interesting. Something is really bugging them lately, and they are sliding down to a level we have not seen here ever. Do they know something that is disturbing them more than the usual? I would say so. Wouldn't you? The sell job is increasing by the day, with no takers, the sellers more and more disturbed at the lack of interest. To a point of going off the deep end. Keep watching. Aqua Nic4us especially sliding down to a new level of low. Metro was always on his game in the gutter. Clear, always angry and cutting, but not at the level these have slid to.

When you say.."you guys"...I know that you mean some west pilots and/or posters. Because I do not recall even commenting yet on Ahern. I found it interesting how fast it was made public, how fast the rumors of smoking, foreclosure, etc. got into the threads mix, but I have not said anything about Ahern's guilt or innocence. Felt sorry for the guy when I saw the mug shot. Problemfor Ahern is, the company has already terminated West pilots for similar charges, prior to any conviction. So, if usapa and/or the company decide that Ahern's job is somehow different or more important than a West pilot's job, the answere is the ellusive collusion link AOL seeks. So pretty much..bye..bye Ahern.

EF's depo...how the heck should I know. I heard it took 6.5 hours. Typical of a usapa witch hunt. Make a mountain out of a mole hill, then go digging around the landfill looking for answeres to questions that have already been answered.

I took all those monikers as describing the USAPA leadership only. If it offends you, then either: you are a part of USAPA leadership or you feel guilty by association. Which is it?

Do a quick Google search under WHY DO PEOPLE RESORT TO NAME CALLING....All very interesting. Most answers? Because the person who resorts to it does not have an argument or substantive position to argue. I sense also an extreme anxiety about something.

Maybe not PI so much. But you just recently were calling someone a 99 hire maggot. What possesses you to resort to that position?

The reason I've been visiting this cyber cesspool of responsible adults behaving badly lately is to somehow raise awareness at least that you are your own worst enemy and that it's long past time for the pissing contest to cease and have the focus of the considerable amount of bile and venom being spewed forth directed at US Airways Sr Management who IMO orchestrated this whole thing with the express purpose of keeping you divided and against each other. It's frankly good business for Parker.

I found it along time ago I think on a 10-K form. Here's the truth. Everyday you as a workgroup are paid below the industry standard is a day that Doug Parker's Bonus gets bigger. Lower labor costs are right in his compensation plan along with the other Sr Executives. You now have F & H Solutions Group back in your workplace. For those who may not know or recall, F & H Solutions Group is a Union Buster Law Firm and Labor relations consultant. Here are a few links,

People got bad advice at merger time and one can only wonder where that advice came from directly or indirectly. Truth is NO ONE wants to believe their employer would engage in such underhanded crap. However truth is it happens HOURLY across America, all day every day. Union Busting Attorney's and consultants break the law in nearly every Labor negotiation. They get away with it because it costs to much time and money for the union to litigate. The ONLY weapon that the union has is the Solidarity of its membership.

It really is time for the infighting to be over and for a unified Pilots Group to speak out and be heard. You folks have the power to shut down US Airways in a New York minute if you are one. As it stands now you're the character in the Dicken's novel Oliver Twist who asks "Please Sir may I have some more". IOW you're beggars at the banquet table. WHY? look in the mirror. Then ask yourself how you would answer your Kids if they asked "Daddy, how come you make so much less then the DL pilots?"

Very good points Sparrowhawk. Took some time to look through the F&H portfolio. One name jumped out- Todd Jewitt. Todd was formerly on the USAirways payroll, and we had to deal with him on numerous contract issues, bid issues in the past. He is now working with Glass. I have been convinced for a long time that LOA 93 was drawn up by Glass and Co. long before the bankruptcy issues came to the fore. The elements of it were not drawn up at the last minute, and were crafted prior to the opportunity presented itself to lay it on hard. LOA 93 is far too deep reaching to have been a last minute write up. It is far, too reaching. So, if Glass is on the payroll as a consultant, you are correct. It would take a unified group to take him on effectively. He absolutely thrives in this environment, and will exploit it as would Patton exploit an enemies confusion in the field of battle. He has exactly what he had for the last battle, a divided group. He will prevail in this environment. The only way to defeat him, and this is what you have to do, go to war with him, is to unify. There is absolutely no other way. The only way you will reach a quick an decent deal is if they want to merge or do a deal here, and need a quick settlement to get their cash. The move for clarification by Parker was in the Glass playbook. No matter what either east or west thinks, this was a pure stall job.
