OK mister high and mighty answer this YES or NO will be fine.
Should the number 1 guy at Airtran with 15 years be right below
the number 1 guy at SW with 35 years.....after all isn't that what
his seniority can BUY him at AT.........and subsequently,,,at SW
.....give it your best shot....we are all holding our breath!!!!

If the pay rates and career expectations were about the same, yes.

But they're not so that has to be adjusted for.

Airtran pilots should look at where the Frontier pilots are now before they draw their line in the sand.

@Blackswan,

I hope you are right in every word of your post. I would love to wrong and post an apology on this board and you could all throw cyber stones at me. However I don't think it will play out that way.

He's not looking for concessions as all he has to do is maintain the current wage structure and he's Jesus on a stick. Guys like Glass have no conscience, morals, values, ethics or sense of fair play. He is a ruthless win at all cost hired gun. There are some legal scenarios with the pilot situation that could harm US Airways and DP & SK both personally & professionally. So they brought in the man with the Big Iron on his hip.

Well, you might be right about the status quo attempt. I am sure they would love it. I honestly see battles breaking out, and the troops on the east side are not in the maintaining mood. You see it every day. The fact you see it on this board from the CSR side means it is true. I, of course, do have no knowledge of anything organized, pilots are just following the safety mantra the company displays on the Daktronics boards, floor mats, etc. It is a good idea this safety. With all the outside pressure, back to basics is the best to avoid any issues.
Looking at a lot of senior guys with full sick banks, and just a few years to go. History says they go and start using their time, rather than give it away for 13 bucks an hr. I could be wrong.......Maybe Glass is back because of the LOA 93 pay grievance wrapping up and decision due soon. Either decision, the company has their hands full. They win,the East pilots angry, they lose, the west pilots angry. Either way, Parker has ridden this horse hard, and far too long. I don't think Mr Glass is going to have much more usefulness either way. He did his job once, and did it well I might add. But you can't get blood from a stone. Either way, thanks for your insight. You have some great points. I don't know anything of what you say about Doug and Kirby other than rumor, and I don't believe the rumors.

Funny how the name Glass is so interchangeable with the name CLEARY isn't it? Of course with the minor distinction that Glass is respected and CLEARY is a bi-polar maniac.

I have no dog in this fight, ..

Thanks! I always appreciate new posters that post really long first posts, but are kind enough to save my time by beginning their post with the disclaimer that I don't need to bother reading it. Done!

I can't speak to Mr Cleary, however I can and will speak about Mr Glass. If you're focused on Cleary as the enemy then you haven't been paying attention to the current situation or the history regarding US.

To use an historical reference, you're France building the Maginot Line of defense while Hitler's Germany is building mechanized armor designed to over run Holland and Belgium bypassing Maginot heading straight for Paris.

Keep you eye on Cleary and Glass will do to you what Hitler did to France.

No neutral opinions will be considered, including abitrators.

Oh where, oh where could our little boy be......AMES where are you? Were waiting for you.....

Well in that vain, Maybe Glass will make Cleary do what Hitler did to himself, (fragile mind and all)? France is fine btw. They didn't lose their national idenity one bit because of WWII. How did Germany fare? So in the long run, your analogy failed. For now, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Don't know why you think Glass has super powers and is omnipotent over all labor laws but one thing is certain, not everybody wets their pants at the idea of opposition as you so clearly do. USCABA is the bargaining agent. Let those idiots worry about Glass...maybe they can get a new yellow lanyard that says, "Glass is an Ass!!!"

Perhaps THAT'S the way to the DOH promised land and an industry standard contract? Dunno. That's their problem.

RE:Jerry Glass, Ignore him at your peril. Who do you think jammed LOA93 down the pilots throats? The tooth fairy? He kicked the ass of every union on the property at US. Not once but twice. He's wearing the big Iron and he's come to kill you.

BTW, if you're interested I have a vintage WWII French Infantry rifle, Never been fired, only dropped once!!

Nobody believes me,(which is fine, I fully understand) but Jerry Glass is in no way my problem. I dont work for spineless Joe Parker. I have NO PERIL. He, (glass) has no Iron...and it's USAPA that's here to kill the West. Not some disagreeable suit. Glass is a far bigger threat to Cleary and his band of mental deficients than he is to the West. If you think AMW pilots are concerned he's going to "kick the ass of the union" you've obviously missed something.

Vive la France!

Yes or no

Did you agree to binding arb?

We are all holding our breath!!!

Why are the streets of Paris lined with trees........ The Germans like to march in the shade.

time will tell.
but it will be a long time.
in the meantime we can enjoy our attrition...
separate ops, enjoy your money losing operation.

but this time expect the jury to hear how you put a new hire next to a 17 year non furloughed pilot...
No more hiding all the evidence....
the truth will set you free!

Crazy,

See this is why you would lose a DFRII if it ever came about, and why the company wants no part of that losing case.

WE....the West did not put a new hire next to a 17 year guy....The West NC asked to put the 18 year never furloughed guy below the West new hire, becaue the 17 year never furloughed guy was next to be furloughed absent the merger, and our new hire deserved furlough protection, as an employee of the growing/aquiring company, from possible merger related downsizing.

The neutral third party arbitrator did not grant us our wishes and put the 17 year about to be furloughed guy next to the West new hire.

So when if it ever goes to court again, the West does not have to defend the fairness of the Nic (our opinion was it was much to kind to the east), all the West has to do is defend a concluded final and binding arbitration result, that was declared valid by the collective bargaining agent, and accepted by the company.

In contrast, usapa would have to defend how they are representing the West pilots by stealing their seniority.

In the mean time thanks for 3 more years of LOA 93.......

Right after the jury hears how you want to put a Reserve F/O ahead of a Captain on the same airplane.

Reserve F/O ahead of a Captain???? Trader you are being too kind....usapa wants to put furloughed guys with less LOS ahead of West Captains.

And see my above post to Crazystnic......unlike a neutral third party deciding a fair integration strategy, usapa's plan is a one sided cram down job/seniority theft. Orchestrated by a union busting lawyer, who to date has not been correct about anything. "We can offer a cost neutral contract in exchange for a DOH list", what an idiot.

Fine here you go: YES....but still get to vote NO on a contract as is my right.......and
even get to vote for a new union if I want to.....

now....how about my question # 1 guy at Airtran gets to be the number 2 guy at SW even though seperated by
20 years..........is this OK....YES.....or .......NO.....after all that's what his seniority will BUY him at SW....a simple yes or no?????
