As that post goes, no, I'm not.

Anything else, well that's your opinion. I advocated a different path before and all along this mess. I haven't advocated delay, I've just accepted it. What bugs me is when you guys say "You,you, you!" when its we. I think the company got it's idea for delay from AOL!

I am having a great day. Kinda cool and dry here in my part of NC, just dreading the heat in PHX tomorrow. Great day to you too.
It's your fault! It's all your personal fault, dammit!

Your opinion is everyone else's fault, it's just you're to blame. Every thing done by everyone else doesn't matter....YOURE TO BLAME!

You should just chew on tin foil and grate your head with a cheese grater.

That is all for now, you may now return to your regularly scheduled programming!

Jeez......

Take your "NIC GOGGLES" OFF!!!........WE HAVE NO MANAGEMENT IN TEMPE WORTHY OF RUNNING ANY OF THE BIG THREE AIRLINES!!!!!!!!! The industry has NOT and will NOT let it happen.
You are so right, this management could not even run a 7 /11. no leadership ability at all. I feel embarrassed for this management team. The worst in the industry!!!!

You made me spit beer out my nose!

Chew on tin foil and grate your head? You know if you had said that a few days earlier I would have nominated you anyway, out of spite. 😀

How do you suppose "the industry" stopped Parker from scooping up Delta? What stops him is BOD's at these airlines that see how little value there is in CLT/DCA and PHL. Doug brings to the table an aging, bitter, and untrustworthy east pilot group who can't discern between being a unified and formidable force to be reckoned with, and a rudderless group of cranky old men.

If we had the former AWA management, Bill Franke, this entire merger would have gone down differently from day 1. And you would never have known what hit you!!

So, you are quite confident that this event NEVER happened? I wonder if anyone could look back at Cleary & Mowrey's travel and pin point the supposed day this event may/may not have happened. I wonder further if anyone could document Cleary & Mowrey's next move from this non-event....perhaps to the legal counsel & then to the courts to seek a quicker resolution to the Nicolau / Date of Hire?

This non-event / rumor has been batted about during the last attempt at United (just prior to CAL getting involved). Just thinking........What if it were really true?

This is pretty lame.....since when does any pilot...employee.....union rep, etc know anything about a merger until they read it in the paper the day after?

BS rumor.

LMAO!!!!!!! Really? Well separate ops forever then. You enjoy the industry fortress, PHX, until you retire. On the East, we will continue to enjoy our hubs of "little value"..........LMAO!!!!!!!!!!

A little history, When Bethune took over in 1994 as COO and President of Continental Airlines the troubled airline had twice faced bankruptcy and was again headed that direction. A search firm hired by Continental's board of directors suggested Bethune, who had recently completed an Advanced Management Course at the Harvard Business School, to salvage the company.

Bethune quickly made his mark on the carrier recognizing that a good airline was defined by customer satisfaction, not just cost per available seat mile. Bethune ascended to the role of CEO and was elected chairman of the board of directors in 1996.[27]

Continental went from being ranked last in every measurable performance category to winning more J.D. Power and Associates awards for Customer Satisfaction than any other airline in the world. BusinessWeek magazine named Bethune one of the top 25 Global Managers in 1996 and 1997. Under his leadership Continental's stock price rose from $2 to over $50 per share. Fortune named Continental among the 100 Best Companies to Work for in America for six consecutive years. In his final year piloting the airline Fortune magazine ranked 1!

n carcass [ˈkaːkəs]
a dead body, usually animal, not human

It was still alive, maybe that's why Doug wanted it. Had it died he could not have afforded it, as it was the value the entire live operation brought that funded the merger.
