US Pilots Labor Discussion

Yeah, it cost him (ALPA National) $11 million in annual dues revenue from LCC.........Now that is funny!!!!!!!!

I guess that's why LOS is now incorporated in ALPA Merger Policy.......That's funny too!!!!!!
Incorrect. Your math is off by a bit.

While each side sent money to ALPA national. A total of $11 million. They did not keep all of it. They did not keep most of it. They sent it back in many forms. How much do you think national keep? 10%-20%-30%? So if you think that ALPA national is missing $1.1 -3.3 million while we go through a long drawn out fight and contract neg. You would be wrong.

usapa is getting the entire amount and still can't pay the bills. Most of the money collected by ALPA national came back to the MEC's.

Hopefully you will get a little more education before you check out.

Before I check out, eh? You can't get anything right.

Go back to waving your yellow lanyard, oh last best firewall of safety.

Maybe having the company revoke the jumpseat priveledge across the board would be a major step forward in safety. It would be a proactive step towards compliance with upcoming changes to duty time and commuting restrictions and would keep warring pilots from sharing a cockpit. Would USAPA howl about that, or would they applaud such a safety intiative?

This is hardball. No one should pretend otherwise.

I usually reserve use of the term "troll" for someone that makes statements that are untrue or that simply don't make sense for the purposes of drawing fire. The question that you put out asked.."Was AWA since inception always on the "upgrading, hiring, growing, making money" trend? "

ALL BUSINESSES go through ups & downs. Hiring and laying off. Growing and shrinking. Of course AWA has not upgraded, hired continuously, grown or made money since its inception. I said that when AWA acquired AAA in May 2005 we were getting new airplanes, upgrading (about 6.5 years on property average at the time), hiring (even some pretty neat US Air pilots that had quit the cesspool or been furloughed), and MAKING a PROFIT.

Frankly I don't care what you call me. All I know is that we have done NOTHING but what was required by law. We followed all the rules to this little game you folks have drawn us into. We are even paying for YOUR group to cheat OUR group. What say you to having 2/3 of our dues money put into a trust and YOUR group foot the total cost of the DOH land grab? That sounds pretty fair to me. USAPA & its supporters will eventually be caught up by their own actions & schemes.

"In arrogance the wicked relentlessly pursue the afflicted; let them be caught in the schemes they have devised." Psalm 10:2

May 19, 2005 was when Doug Parker announced that America West Holdings was going to acquire US Air (AAA).
On September 26, 2007, as part of the integration efforts following the merger of US Airways Group and America West Holdings Corporation (“America West Holdings”) in September 2005, America West Airlines, Inc. (“AWA”) surrendered its Federal Aviation Administration (“FAA”) operating certificate. As a result, all mainline airline operations are now being conducted under US Airways’ FAA operating certificate. In connection with the combination of all mainline airline operations under one FAA operating certificate, US Airways Group contributed one hundred percent of its equity interest in America West Holdings to US Airways. As a result, America West Holdings and its wholly owned subsidiary AWA are now wholly owned subsidiaries of US Airways. In addition, AWA transferred substantially all of its assets and liabilities to US Airways. All off-balance sheet commitments of AWA were also transferred to US Airways. This transaction constituted a transfer of assets between entities under common control and was accounted for at historical cost. WE SAVED YOUR SORRY ASSES, YOUR WELCOME! 😛

Now if it's the "chest-thumping" that you speak of.....well, guilty (sometimes).

Weedhopper? Hmm.

If you had asked that question first you could have saved a lot of typing, but I know how you like to preach.

I've proposed a special west only assessment.

Who put you in charge there junior?

Speaking of crappy career expectations, in 2004 you were wondering if you would have a job past Christmas. Who am I kidding, in 2004 you did not have a job, you and 1800 of your buddies were furloughed. Now your entire career expection relies on stealing a West pilot's job.

Great game plan loser. Here are your major stumbling blocks. Your union busting lawyer lied to you in order to collect the what $10 miilion or so to date. The company ain't about to lose a multi-billion lawsuit to the West pilots. And, Finally, unless you get an LOA93 win, your fellow east pilots are going to kick usapa to the curb, or at least the scumbags running it.

What a surprise....asking....no, demanding that the west pilot group pick up the tab for your actions. Who'da thunk?

Yet another fine example of the ever-present emotional "we're bigger than you, better than you, and gosh darn it we deserve it!" argument. Haven't seen that around here in what....ten minutes?

Have a great night Sparky.

Thanks for educating everyone on how the company structured 2 yearsafter AWA bought USAirways in a reverse aquisition. If I remember correctly, AWA aquired US Airways group in 2005 in a reverse aquisition, at least that is what the SEC says.

Look at the very first sentence of your post 9. It clearly states "following the merger of US Airways Group and America West Holdings Corp in September,2005". It also starts with "On September 26, 2007", hell by that time the merger was over 2 years old, and the Nic was already published.

Man, you look like a complete idiot with that post.

As far as the "WE SAVED YOUR SORRY ASSES, YOUR WELCOME! comment, keep drinking the usapa juice James Continental scab Ray is spewing.

Here is the first paragraph of what usapa's favorite paper, USA Today said about it in 2005, notice the date on the article.

America West, US Airways merger goes for a tight fit
By Dan Reed and Barbara De Lollis, USA TODAY
America West Airlines said Thursday it will acquire US Airways, saving the beleaguered carrier from the possibility of a bankruptcy liquidation

Thanks for saving us there loser!!!! hahahahhahahhahahahahahhahah

Next thing you will tell us is that usapa decided in 2010 to keep the CACTUS callsign and AWE ICAO code.

I love watching the US guys twist whenever its brought up that HP bought them out. The denial runs strong. US was dead, rigor mortis and starting to stink. HP saved that miserable airline from being beer cans. Should have let them rot. US destroyed enough airlines, should have let them die.

The funny thing? Nothing pisses them off more than profits. 😛

when did US start flying 767's into DCA?

Are you fooling folks into thinking you're "Bob"?

You got me! Actually there are two Bob Moores based in PHL on the 767. Some times it can be fun. For instance last month I was flying flight 722 into DUB and the other Bob Moore (Bobby) was flying flight 723 outbound. Both the dispatcher and crew sched. did a double take trying to figure out how I could be legal for such a thing until they finally noticed the different employee numbers. And there actually has been at least one widebody that landed at DCA. A DC-10 that was bound for BWI and diverted to DCA .......bad day thunderstorms all over, IAD was their alt. and it too was covered, no fuel to go anywhere else.....big pucker factor. Had the whole thing on tv. They landed on 19 and managed (barely) to hold short of the river.

Regards,

Bob

Just trying to meet your expectations. It doesn't matter what happens, you have it figured your way. Even when someone agrees with you, you have an issue.
