US Pilots Labor Discussion

Actually I'd like to see a settlement so that things improve for everyone, Execs, CHQ, Flight Crews, Front liners, back liners and finally customers as that has been the cornerstone of my argument. Herb Kelleher said it best.'
Why?

Will it improve your QoL?

Will something happen to you if US Airways fails?

If you want to be a pilot, play FS X or whatever the du jour sim is these days.

Union crap is nasty enough among its own players, let alone an OUTSIDER.

Thanks for the link. Some of that was a bit over my head but I think I got the general point. Thank you.

Having been on here for quite a while many of the cast of characters on the one chart are names of people I don't particularly respect very much dating back to the BK's. Given the context of where we are today I think USAPA was created not so much to "Screw" the west as it was to enrich themselves at the expense of the entire pilot group.

They have somewhat of a track record in that regard. Some of your guy are no prize either.

A bit of it was selective reading. Here is a quote they put in:

“The seniority integration agreement adjusted the Mohawk furloughees... to the
extent necessary to place them below the most junior active pilot.”
[Allegheny-Mohawk, 1972. US AIRWAVES, Jan/Feb/Mar 2002]'

From the same article they lifted this from, there was information on the Hughes Airwest/Republic merger, where furloughed pilots were inserted ahead of active pilots. I've pointed out various lies in everyone of the AOL brochures.

Real USAir Pilots beware. Your management uses AWA tools like this to sow discontent, and reap the benefits. I hope this idiot Toganoflex is actually management trying to create division, rather than an actual AWA stooge. They are not the brightest, Toga and Cleardirect. Keep them apart with USAPA. You NEVER want to get a combined list with AWA pilots. They will cross picket lines with a smile on their faces. They were raised by Franke.

You won't have a choice. The Nic cometh.

They will cross picket lines with a smile on their faces.
Will never happen. A couple of dozen firings on the East are imminent. If you can't see that, then you're an idiot. It's coming. With the viciious albeit incredibly stupid removed from the picture, the rest of Airways can move forward. It's about to get pretty good for the rest of us.

They were raised by Franke.
How's LOA93 working out?

You're the worst kind of scab...filled to the brim with hubris, entitlement, and a ridiculously undeserved sense of superiority.

You were twice BK
You have the worst ACTUAL safety record in the industry
You're the Lowest paid by far
You're union is beyond a Joke
You're work rules would make a Mesa pilot cry.

And yet in your mind you're a superstar and the rest of the world is out to get you. No East pilot has EVER accepted any responsibility for their situation. Whatever makes you happy I guess.

Hey counselor, can a judge issue and order in an injunction that would call for the violation of FARs?

We have NO scabs at original NWA. NONE. DAL is clean also. When our group was told to strike, we did, everyone. I have been on the picket line more times than you have probably been in your job year over year. I remember what your AWA did to the rest of the industry, and internationally. It is a disgusting heritage. You western pilots on this board may not be scabs yet, but they will when this situation boils over, and it is heading that way. I see the signs now. Your Franke management is laughing with glee. Once they use you, they will turn the gun on you after your usefulness is spent. You are too naive to see it. It is readily apparent to an outsider who has seen it. When you scab, you will regret it the rest of your life. Ask the ones you work with. The signs are in your company moves right now. They have the people in place now to push this to a strike. Be careful what you wish for, you will be used and discarded.

I know you did. That's why the company is suing your scab union once AGAIN. Your illegal work action was the worst kept secret in Aviation. Now you'll pay dearly for that decision of yours. I won't even dignify your attempt at pretending to work for DAL. 🙄

Eastern division pilots read his posts clearly. He takes management side readily, and will cross your lines. The you ll pay dearly is scabspeak for justifying their coming siding with management. The best part is when the gun gets turned on him after he does the dirty work for the management types. Typical stupidity, predictable actions. Every time.

Congress defines the jurisdiction for federal courts. FARs belong to an administrative agency - the FAA. Nevertheless, just about anything could be analyzed under Constitutionality using the doctrine of judicial review. They can go in and change the nuts and bolts of laws or overturn them completely. Short of that, a federal court can't touch a law per se. However, what they often do is delineate the legality of how a law is used and that has a huge effect. With the injunction, a federal judge wouldn't be messing with the actual FARs. Rather, they'd be deciding the legality of how USAPA is encouraging its members to use use the law in that particular case. That's very different from saying what the FAR is, and it's a legal determination squarely in the jurisdiction of the federal courts and not the FAA. Now there is going to be some degree of incidental, cross-jurisdictional contact, but that's a matter for the FAA to raise. USAPA can try to raise it, but they'll need the FAA to step before the judge.

Caveat: you're talking to a journeyman.

Keep diggin' that hole there Angry F.O.. When it comes to your scab union sabotaging the livelihoods of tens of thousands of innocent bystanders then unequivocally, I SIDE WITH MANAGEMENT. I fly safe, legal, and on time. As long as the simple act of doing my job properly assists in the destruction of USAPA I will do it with enthusiasm...then again, I'm not on LOA93 with no relief in sight either. Management can only be dealt with at the bargaining table, (assuming your "proposals" are legal that is). That will all happen in due time. Priority #1 is killing off USCABA. Job #2 is getting the contract i deserved years ago that was denied me by "my own" Effing Union.

USAPA and Cleary are in the grist mill. They'll both be ground into another dimension.
