US Pilots Labor Discussion

We have always been a fractured group. It seems to me that the West pilots would have been lining up to join a recall effort against Cleary. Anything else is self defeating. Between the two of us there would have been more than enough votes to toss Cleary out. What are the West guys going to do as we "lead the way out"? Sit silently on the sidelines?

I'm bewildered by your post.

Driver
Let me clarify:

The east must take the initiative to remove Cleary and/or USAPA due to A) It's their Frankenstein and B) They have the numbers to make it or break it.

The 8/3 votes (when those are even allowed to see the light of day) prove that the east BPR is unwilling to work with the west on anything.

The sickening silence from the east pilot group when Cleary is allowed to rule unchallenged and jeopardize the union and the finances of every member proves that A) they are too weak to do what needs to be done and/or B) they give tacit approval to Cleary's tyranny and see no need to change until they are forced to.

Not necessarily directed at just you..but your comments (and sign off line) don't ring true with me (other than the Monkey visual.) If you are so unhappy with Cleary, why did your fearless leader give him a vote of support months ago? There was a legitimate recall attempted by some East pilots, and Eric decided the harm being done to us all preempted any benefit from moving forward.

I get the preoccupation with the future DFR, just don't understand why you would want to prolong the current agony. Your ability to file the DFR is pretty much bulletproof, at least according to the Ninth. Looking forward to it being ripe, especially since we could all have a pay raise while it works its way through the courts. Heck, maybe you will get a win.

And in reference to another post here earlier, I don't get the part about "bookmarking" the DFR suite for 2M+ and a loss due to ripeness. Addington no longer exists, in any shape or form. It cannot even be legally referenced in a court of law. It never happened. Judge Silver already put the final nail in that coffin.

But I know you disagree.

RR
RR Superhero,

You are correct on Addington. It continues to go right over their heads. That thing, is GONE...........

The reason you will spend years more on LOA93 is singularly, ADDINGTON. It may be gone from the courthouse,(for now) but it still visits your home twice a month on payday...like a very unwelcome guest.

So how was it you achieved the pay rates of the "good ol' days"? Was ALPA instrumental, or was Colodny/ McGee /Barkley/Schick/Wolfe/Siegel all pushovers or both?

it was our guys, ... everybody doubted Butkovic but in the end he hit a grand slam with the parity Plus 1.. High five.

Then why don't you get a contract?

Give me a break, ALPA could not of done any better. In fact they were so worried about getting sued, that is all they could think of.. I takled to Prater persoally after the "this award is probelmatic"... He was very willing to do someting but just didn't have the balls....

ALPA was and is a total failure....

we have a much better chance alone.

The funny thing about that parity plus 1, was that Wolfe and company were doing high-fives after that "give" by the pilots... I seem to remember it was the Delta pilots that achieved a great rate... and poor Wolfe... had to ante up!

God damn you guys like to rewrite the past!

Your 1998 Parity +1 contract was a PAY CUT for your guys. You have DAL and UAL to thank for yanking you out of the cellar and not yourselves. SW made a gamble and those two aforementioned airlines handed it to him by upping the parity..

Even a blind mouse will eventually find cheese. You guys tripped over it.

Actually, Butkovic negotiated concessions (not by choice but company demand). First the UA pilots then the DL pilots hit grand slams. But the batboy (US) was allowed to celebrate too.

Ya. We see how you've guys have taken the ball and run with out.

Much better alone. Ya. Still waiting. Don't let us hold you back.

But A320 says you were always fractured. That doesn't sound like a group that accomplished anything. Were those days just more generous?

Why didn't you dump ALPA in the 70's and rally behind Butkovic? He must have been a real ALPA outsider, eh? Imagine what he could have gotten you!

Is he running for pres of USAPA?

I crack myself up!!!

Yo, St.NIC! You are correct. I was a doubter also. Donny B gave a masterful presentation to Kasher. He had a great presentation on the FREEZE terminology. Let's hope Kasher grasped the concept of FREEZE and how is has been past practiced.
