US Pilots Labor Discussion

The former America West management and pilots have a consistent history of illegal activities. They flew drugs, flew drunk, drove drunk, fondled a flight attendant while drunk, stole personal ID data and try to intimidate pilots. There is a pattern here.

But you get your ALPA money, that is the only thing that is important, right?

The despiration by apollo/nos/sum/???...so thick you could cut it with a knife. It's going to be an interesting couple of weeks, I'd bet.

The first desperate emotion will be elicited when Franke Air is denied the injunction. The next when western pilots never get Niclau.

Pretty good circumstantial evidence.

The proof, as they say...is in the SEC pudding.

New article on first quarter profit.

TEMPE, Ariz., May 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The new US Airways Group, Inc. (NYSE: LCC) today reported a first quarter 2006 profit before the cumulative effect of a change in accounting principle of $64 million or $0.75 per diluted share. This compares to a profit before the cumulative effect of a change in accounting principle of $28 million or $1.29 per diluted share for the same period last year. Results for the new US Airways Group's first quarter 2006 are being compared to America West's standalone results for first quarter 2005 due to the former US Airways Group and America West Holdings Corporation merger on Sept. 27, 2005. Although the merger was structured so that America West became a wholly owned subsidiary of the new US Airways Group, America West was treated as the acquiring company for accounting purposes under Statement of Financial Accounting Standards No. 141 "Business Combinations."
Just saw one fly by and it said US Airways on the side.

Oh please show us pictures of your big 747's that you flew all over the world.

I hate to interrupt the current rant but I have a question for you guys and gals.

Do we have anymore new aircraft coming on line for the rest of the year? And what do we have scheduled for next year?
🙂

I don't have specific delivery dates, but there was to be 12 new Airbus narrow-bodies during the 2nd half of this year (which is less than half over so I assume not all have arrived) and another 12 during the 2nd half of next year.

How about a little wager, Clax? If the company achieves the injunction against USAPA, you and your little "Sybil" clan buys me and my clan (Oh wait! There is only ONE of me!) a case of my favorite IPA? If USAPA wins, I'll buy your "legion"(for you are many.. Luke:8:30 😀 ) a case of your favorite adult brewed adult beverage................... 🙄

New aircraft replacing old. The 737 is being/is scheduled to be retired at about the same rate the 320 family aircraft are being added.

Thanks for the addition...when I read the question I intended to put that in the answer but quickly forgot.
